everyone here using AP sets??

So, is this phone still worth buying??

When this phone first introduced to the market it was priced @ RM2.1k ...

However, its been 5month now yet they Priced it @ RM2.3k ... Its more expensive than the phone first introduced and the worst part is, its already 5Months !!! the phone now is only worth RM1.8k in the market...


I dont know if i want to buy this phone anymore can afford the price RM2.3k ... but it just doesn't feel right since its not valued that much now..


want to get the AP set which at least priced near the market price... but scare about the warranty issue, the set location bla bla bla...


i felt that maybe motorola did not recognize Malaysia sooner during the milestone launch, since now that motorola had malaysia in sight, should i just wait for the next motorola phone to release?


I dont mind if the phone 1st release cost RM2.3k or weeks later .... at least it is not a phone that is delayed 5month but still priced at RM2.3k...


What you guys recommend?? i can see many people here using AP sets...

XD ... the only thing that is bothering me now is ... its already been 5 month ... is the phone still hot

But i check phone forums and there's isnt any new android + Physical keyboard coming out any sooner ... thats the part that temp me to get milestone now..

The New samsung Galaxy realy appeals to me... now im wondering if i want to get that or milestone... the only downfall is that the samsung galaxy has no qwerty keyboard..

why do you have to wait if i may ask?

is it having the same dilema as me cause dont know want to buy or not?? lolz

I wonder now buy the ori set still got the Free stuff anot ...

The Carmount + charger only worth Less than RM100 ... not RM2xx ... cause most of the internation market state it only cost USD25 ..... just check ebay and see..

Alot of store are selling @ that price liao... But require trade in phone..


some are as low as RM1,499 but require line registration...



I still cant decide What to get.. AP or Ori ..... price range at least RM400 gap one .....


Cuase if buy Ori... when you see others getting the phone @ RM1,500 .. you felt that its like you are actualy Overspending on a SAME PHONE .....

What are the Odds of the phone is seriously faulty?? AP and Ori set all also comes from the same factory anyway...So far i bought quite a number of AP's and Ori's .... and the phones problems doesnt show till after a year or so... like my Sony walkman phone ... the bottom port start to loose Right after a year of usage ... But theres nothing seriously faulty that i cant use my phone at all...


I wonder how many of you guys actualy got the Original set....

Oh realy?? i saw that GTOracer selling for RM1.5k+ ..... trade in price

While theres another seller selling @ RM1.49k but requires line registration


Btw... if i buy the ori version from any shop also can claim that prize ???? I wonder if its possible to reach 300?? milestone seems to be very unpopular in Malaysia... cant seem to see anyone using it so far...

I plan to get the phone next week if possible... but i wonder the free accessories still available... if not .. very dissapointing liao XD....

Thats not the problem... the main problem also the Gap between Ori And AP..

i wanna get the ORI ... but DAMN that AP price kept falling like water..



Buy the milestone @ RM2k also dont feel sedap hati since people are getting it for RM1.5k AND ITS THE EXACT SAME PHONE... cause i KNOW i wont use the warranty anyway .....but AP for milestone is not like other AP phone i bought cause Milestone is a smartphone and DIff ROM troubles me...

Thats the SUCKS thing about buying phone in Malaysia ... You just cant get the most out of it... especialy the value...


Buy Ori scare lose out to market value la... then somore felt that its a waste cause the odds of using the warranty is mere 10% chance while had spent almost RM500 extra for it...


Somore, theres alot of issue about rooting la, market la HAIZ!!!! ,......

Phone price will always fall.... so that wasn't the thing im going to worry about...


What im worrying is the Ori vs AP ...... You buy the phone for RM2k with nothing more than being a Local set and Warranty by brightstar.... The free accesories ISNT FREE anyway... when they add the "For first 300 customer" ... its more like a gimmick to attract customers adi ... cause they will not be sued with that stupid 1 sentense even if they did not achieve any more than 200 customer but they refuse to give u the accessories...


Morover, it worth less than RM100 anyway for those accesories...




Buy a phone RM2k while people getting it for RM1.5k with the same exact phone .... the feeling of overpaying makes me crazy....



The funny thing is, i just cant seem to get anynews about New android phone with keypad coming out any sooner ...... so the only option is still the MILESTONE .....


Motorola Shadow seems to be only a mere rumour or some fan based concept...

Btw, is flash already included for milestone right out of the box for ORI/AP

I would choose the Nexus one instead if not for the Awesome design and qwerty from Milestone...Nexus One is still better in terms of spec..
Btw... months had pass and i still havent get my milestone !!!! WTF .... now im thinking of waiting for a newer milestone to be released instead

What you guys would suggest if i were to get the MILESTONE??? Should i get the AP or ORI ..... cause the AP only cost @ RM1.5k+ while Ori RM2k+ ......


If i buy the AP .... the extra 4-500 i can even buy an extra battery + Docking station + Car holder + car charger + a pair of AWESOME earphones that cost around RM100-200+... Yet still got extra money to spare ... [Dock + extra batt set only cost less than RM100] [Carholder + Car Charger also cost less than RM100]


Or should i go with the ORI .... where i cost me RM2k ... and the free accesorries of either [Dock+batt] or [Carholder+Car charge] are "NOT GUARENTEED" redeemable ..


AP set got warranty by PDA Gadgets ... I dont think by any chance the phone LCD would crack itself unless it is caused by personal use and that would void both Ori/AP warranty anyway .... and mostly i felt that the odds of using the warranty is only for minor problem that AP set could cover anyway ...


But AP set for milestone is diff from normal phone as it is a SMARTPHONE which therefor the ROM and FIRMWARE is important in this case...

meaning If buy AP... you wouldn't know what country is it from when you got it 1st hand ... besides... the ROM and Firware will not be standardize... dont know what significance did it have on the overall phone performance... but just doesnt feel sedap hati thats all XD


RM50 everyweek?? WAsai .... But how come the Ori set isnt dropping Rm50 every week .... the GAP earlier was RM600 when it first released .... then shorten to RM400... but afterthat the value doesnt seem to change much ... now around RM400-500 gap...



IF ... the Ori price drop to RM1.8k while there is free accessories like Car holder + Battery GUARENTEED .. i would definately get it... but seems like by that time the free stuff are all gone ... and the AP set would most probably cost around RM1.3k ..... Kept making the ORI set feels like VALUELESS ....

DAMN ..... there is still no news about Phones with qwerty + Running Android 2.1 or later ... coming out any sooner...


Motorola Shadow is rumored but i doubt it is true..... it is more likely some fanbase design... cause the phone is PAPER THIN for god sake.... its less than 1 cm thick ..... How the hell they expect 8MP and 1GHZ in a 1cm thin phone... the Wall white finishing on the keyboard is god awefull ....


Motorola Milestone is already perfect.... i hope motorola would upgrade it by making it to a 4.1inch + 8MP + 1GHZ and bigger ram .......

Design best remain the same for the front while the back needs some working on it... the keyboard rocker pad should be taken off or made smaller so that there would be bigger space for the qwerty while having those keys slightly dented.. if they could put a finger print reader right below the shortcut keys area .. that would be perfect so that the rocker pad could be taken off making a much bigger space for the qwerty..

So long liao .... the Ori set doesnt seem to drop one the price....


According to the GSMarena .... the Shadow is going to be released @ June...

dont feel like getting the milestone anymore..

It dropped from 2.3k to RM2k ... i guess RM2.3k were a mistake pricing...But... the AP set kept dropping ....

By the way.... Its not possible for Milestone to continue on with RM2k for over a year right?? because in a near few months time.... Motorola Shadow is coming out ... how would they gonna price it then?
