Actually... I don't hope to get it as I have already trying to cut the card to avoid the RM50.

I was surprised hearing this. I thought Amex Plat/Gold cc are under MR system, thus having no problems to redeem MR points for frequent flyer programmes.
*

LOL, I guess nobody else here who cares much about Frequent Flyer Programmes. No wonder Maybank can sneak this "rules" behind our back.

So, in short, the "Membership Rewards" for AMEX charge card vs AMEX credit card are not the same. Unfortunately it is only mentioned in the small fine print (booklet) when you first received the card.

It's too early to talk about cash back for February. I have not even received the cash back for January. sad.gif

Also, it's too early to cut as Amex Gold cc was first introduced in June/July 2009 if I am not mistaken. Anyway, it is a good practice to plan ahead like you.

My experience using Amex Charge Card is not bad at all. I getting the 15% cash back for the past 2 months, RM 150 for each months (you need to spend RM1.5K min on respective shopping mall to get the full amount) To buy petrol I recommend to buy the petrol at Shell as they except AMEX + you will earn the points from Bonuslink. For Mobil/Esso, there is only certain station that allow you to used the AMEX. Shoping at Jusco, cold storage, Giant, Tesco, IKEA, all accept AMEX too

So it's some sort of telemarketing call...

They're saying that if I said okay then they will directly sign up the plan for me. But after 15-20 Min non-stop talk, finally they give up after I keep saying no.

Will they proceed to sign me up even I said no? shocking.gif

Yes. It is. You no longer have to pay RM25 a year to earn MR points anymore. Last time this offer only applies to the Gold Charge and Platinum Charge Card.

I guess the answer is No. Although you said okay, they will do some verification first. Lately, its quite annoying.
