QUOTE(ytle2010 @ Nov 12 2010, 08:14 AM) Thanks ytle, Quite disappointed with the 3rs qtr P&L which is half of what they achieved in 2nd qtr. It could be the new casino which taking slice of the market share over the GS. The question now is what is the fair value of this stock and is it worth to pick-up more if it dropped further? Right now the stock is 2.14 which already dropped 14 cents within 20 mins of trading. |

Saw quite come concerns heresince this morning. I always say, one good way to mitigate emotional distractions is by taking a few analysts' views, provided there are sufficient analysts providing coverage.
Things could be worse if no analysts provided coverage. Comments this morning on GenSP, in summarised form from analysts here :- 1) Raised To Buy From Outperform and Target Raised To S$2.93 From S$2.06 By Daiwa 2) Target Raised To S$2.65 From S$1.68 By Credit Suisse 3) Cut To Neutral From Overweight and Target Raised To S$2 From S$1.55 By JPMorgan 4) Target Raised To S$2.75 From S$2.45 By Citigroup And a short write-up too :- Genting Singapore (G13.SG) may slip as sequential fall in 3Q10 earnings suggests rival Las Vegas Sands, which owns Marina Bay Sands, gaining market share in Singapore. Net profit halved at S$187.8 million vs 2Q10''s S$396.5 million as revenue down 24.0% at S$744.0 million, although better than S$93.3 million loss year earlier. EBITDA at S$346.5 million with 47% margin vs S$513.9 million, 52% margin in 2Q10. "We view the results as disappointing, and believe (they) could lead to negative price reaction. 2Q results were clearly one-offs, and investors extrapolating that momentum will need to lower expectations," says Goldman Sachs, which has Neutral call with S$1.46 target. Despite potential pullback, stock remains one of best performers in Singapore, +78.1% since August 12, when it reported return to profitability in 2Q10. Shares flat at S$2.28 yesterday. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seeing the above, would be a great chance to buy-in. GenSp still has more tricks up he sleeves, do yuo think it's so easy for MBS to defeat her ? |

In terms of revenue, GS is slightly better than MBS but margin wise the MBS is slightly better than GS. The competition is quite even between both rivalry. Now the challenge is how they going to attract more visitors into the Singapore at the expense of other matured countries (Macau, US). Anyway I still have faith in this counter and let's see how it goes in the coming days...probably some surprises.
