I think Genting SP should be on the uptrend instead of selling.
I bought this counter at 67 cents and will keep until at least $1.80 before deciding what to do next.
Anything below $1.00 definitely is a bargain price.

Genting Singapore...huat ah!!!!
Added on August 13, 2010, 11:54 amJust would like to share some info received fm DBS Vickers pertaining to Genting Singapore recommendations. Genting Singapore: BUY S$1.28; Bloomberg: GENS SP Striking A Gold Mine; Price Target : 12-Month S$ 2.00 (Prev S$ 1.60) · Stellar 2Q10 results, beating our already above-consensus forecast by 33% · 2H10 could match 1H10, as operations ramp up; potential wildcard from entry of junkets. · Increase FY10-12F earnings by 30-70%; valuation is undemanding at 11x 2011 EV/EBITDA, similar to peers. · Maintain BUY, TP raised to S$2.00 (from S$1.60), based on sum-of-parts. Trumping expectations. 2Q10 net profit came in at S$397m (2Q09: S$30m net loss; 1Q10: S$107m net profit, ex-exceptionals), driven by RWS’ full quarter contribution (adjusted EBITDA: S$504m vs 1Q10’s S$109m, based on first 45 days). RWS’ still enjoyed 1 month of “monopoly” prior to MBS’ opening, along with above average VIP win percentage, which led to higher VIP/grind mix of 60:40 vs 1Q10’s 50:50. Foreigners constituted ~2/3 of casino patrons (mainly from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and India). Average table count has risen to 380 (1Q10: 300), comprising 100 VIP and 280 mass tables. Daily net win per table was comparable to Macau, while slots ~US $500 (Macau: US$200). EBITDA margin (on normalized win rate & net revenue after rebates) was ~52% (1Q10: 48%, ex-pre-opening cost), boosted by higher-margin direct VIPs. Operations ramping up. RWS has opened up Maxims Platinum and Crocksford Premium (VIP) along with Ladies Club on the mass gaming floor, raising table count to 410. Management is targeting 450 tables and 1500-1600 slots (1200 currently) by end-10. After chalking up 3m visitor arrivals in 2Q10 (20-30k daily to casino), RWS has raised its 2010 target to 15m from 13m. Seasonally stronger 2H10 should be boosted by the F-1 race and Youth Olympic Games. Raising FY10-12F earnings further by 30-70%, on faster ramp-up, higher VIP daily net win per table (US$24k from US$20k), delay in entry of junket (to 2011), and stronger EBITDA margins. Our TP is lifted to S$2.00 (from S $1.60), based on sum-of-parts. Correspondingly, we increase Genting Bhd’s FY10-12F earnings estimates by 15-21% and TP to RM10.80 (from RM9.40), based on sum-of-parts. Maintain BUY on both. It's true that market sentiment need some form of positive signs to further boost the uptrend. As for right now, buy only those with the prospect and not because of speculation. It's fine if you miss the opportunity to earn as you may on a ride next round but not losing money and stuck with unproductive stocks which could take years to reach the current level.

Genting SP is not overprice, in fact it still a bargain price if the current earnings can be maintain. Although my return for this stock is already 100%, I still feels it's worth to hold longer as the casino operations is just started around 1/2 year and the true company value is not fully reflected in the shares price yet. If today the Genting SP is dropping then I will consider to buy some to add to my portfolio. When the stock reach $2 soon then you will feel that at this is still very attractive.

Genting Singapore $1.99 today.
As my previous reply stated, when it reach $2, the 1.50 will looks cheap and it's proven now. Regret that I'm failed add to my collection when 1.48 as it hit the price but didn't manage to get my queue purchase. |

Today I have a chit-chat with my Interpac remisier and he encourage me to buy GS stock even at current price as the stock valuation is much higher than the current price. Fyi, he do not know that I already have an account with DBS and already trade this stocks.
Myself personally been to GS 2 weeks ago and the business is really good as almost all tables are filled with gamblers. Next qtr should be making even more profits and shoot the GS stock further up to S$3. |

QUOTE(wlcling @ Oct 20 2010, 03:18 PM) vomit blood... shouldnt load CNT at 0.200 but load gensp instead... too bad my decision may be skewed because listening to some rumours that it will hit 0.27. Anyway time will tell for this one.. well, my 9th sense told me that too anyway, i repeat gensp is on a path to hit 2.30 soon by end of this week based on my 8th sense... hehe |

QUOTE(wlcling @ Oct 20 2010, 06:19 PM) oh ok... do you play small-caps like 30, 40c stock? because i noticed most people (in this forum) like playing only those above few dollar counters.. I play everything, ranging from pennies shares to 2nd liner to bluechips like genting berhad. as long as counter can make money, just buy and wait for it to grow. |

bro, you can trade in 100 shares, not necessarily must be in 1000 shares as in SGX.

GS is now consilidating it's stock position to move higher notch thus it's a good time to collect some right now before it looks cheaper at this level later on.
