Guys, what is the typical outstation allowance and car mileage claim? I am working in a local engineering company, local outstation RM25 per day, oversea outstation RM50 per day (China, SEA), car mileage 45 cent per km, it seems to be quite low to me. Just want to know others.

u r definately under-paid. wiuth 5 years experience, u at least getting >4k. btw, which platform u working on? .NET/Java/ ...?

I also think that I am underpaid.. IT market now hot like hell but my company can't get any biz. All sales team suck!

Now my role is mainly implement third party software for customer..not much programming skill required(already 'berkarat' for 2 years). Planned to learn something to advance my career.

Any potential skill(s) to recommend?

try to learn up web programming. it is the trend. i suggest u to learn up PHP.

Responsibilities:

    * 1.Provides administrative assistance and support to the Managing Director, Asia Pacific and KL team:
    * ·day-to-day office coordination and diary management· Filing and answering the phone
    * ·typing, preparation and dispatch of relevant correspondence and preparing of presentations
    * ·Travel arrangements including the preparation of itineraries, arranging accommodation and meetings
    * ·Making travel arrangements for visiting clients and overseas staff members where necessary
    * ·Negotiating fees with local providers, such as stationary, travel provider, etc2
    * .Works closely with London Finance group to ensure KL accounts are correct:
    * ·Reviews, reconciles, and evaluates monthly ledgers
    * ·Prepares financial reporting system reports for KL accounts; assists with fiscal planning, development, and management of annual budgets
    * ·Issues monthly invoices, including recharges, retainers and success fees.3. Helps to plan, develop, and coordinate the execution of office policies, procedures, and operations; monitors compliance with HLC's policies, procedures, regulations, and appropriate local laws.
    * 4.Provide HR support (in conjunction with Head of HR)
    * ·Liaises with the payroll provider and ensures compliance with tax authorities
    * ·Overseas Health and Safety in the office
    * ·Liaises with benefit providers
    * ·Manages holiday files
    * 5.May participate and/or support analysts' projects when appropriate.
    * 6Performs adhoc job-related duties as they arise and are assigned.
    * Experience, Skills
    * ·High School graduate with good grades in English and Maths. Degree is an advantage but not essential.
    * ·Minimum 5 years experience in a similar type of role in a professional environment
    * ·Excellent PC skills - word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
    * ·Excellent organisational skills, ability to work on own initiative and take a pro-active approach
    * ·Flexible approach and the ability to multi-task
