skysky,
Your salary compensation scheme seems to be 'fair' - for now. Obviously, it's difficult to gauge as the Advertising Industry is very much a 'human-capital' industry. As your experience and skills especially in the areas of strategic thinking increases, you will find yourself more 'marketable' - bearing in mind, the longer you are in the industry, the more people you ought to meet. My advice to you is to chart your own career path. If you think the current agency you're with can't give you the opportunity to grow then leave and join another one. If it's for the compensation and not for a career, you probably can just scout around to see if there are any vacancies elsewhere but bear in mind moving too often, and too soon will not benefit you too much esp when questioned at the next interview. Ask yourself what it is that you want. As you have just started out, you may want to grasp the opportunities out there for now, rather than look at the compensation scheme. If you're creative enough, and think u have the talent for copywriting, my suggestion is move yourself into that area immediately - you should be able to command more compared to AEs. I haven't come across any advertising agencies who pays OT. If you do, let me know so I can put my resume through too |

i have a question. at the end of the interview, if the interviewer mentioned about how much they could offer us, normally the price is before or after confirmation? and he mentioned that my expected salary is a bit high.

QUOTE(Perwaja @ Dec 8 2006, 10:31 AM) guys just want ask seen so many ccna expert at here If you can get a degree .. why not ? actually i want ask something which one better should i pursue to continue my degree or going to chase CISCO certificate? and which one is more good, i already ask a few of my friend but their opinion is i should go for degree later chase cisco, what is your opinion? Cisco Certificate is just a certificate .. but i believe degree will mean a lot for you. But i do have friends with diploma but good in networking too. They graduate earlier and earning big bucks by now. But then, you don't have time or willingness to go for degree once you are in such a position. So ask yourself, what do you value most in your life ? Even a high school salesman can earn more than you who have a degree .. but looking at it with different perspective, it's something that you gain and lost while giving up something else. |

QUOTE(Perwaja @ Dec 8 2006, 10:31 AM) guys just want ask seen so many ccna expert at here Well, it very much depends where is ur future direction. If what u want is to be specialist in Networking field, then Cisco Cert is GOOD choice. And of course, don't just stop at CCNA, instead must move forward to CCNP/CCSP/CCIP/CCVP and ultimately CCIE!! actually i want ask something which one better should i pursue to continue my degree or going to chase CISCO certificate? and which one is more good, i already ask a few of my friend but their opinion is i should go for degree later chase cisco, what is your opinion? Myself is an example, I only obtained until NCC Higher Diploma, and I continue my Cisco Cert (preparing my CCIE now) still I am earning an attractive income. ALl the best |

QUOTE(mytescocom @ Dec 1 2006, 08:40 PM) I bet the tax rate in Japan is quite high esp for expat....care to share? My salary is quite high in Japan... average salary in japan is around 6k with degree.....The living expenses is also very high in Japan. I think what you are getting is appropriate for you cos you are a CCIE. In MY- CCIE is >RM8k. U get RM30K but it's overseas..... if i'm not mistaken few yrs back i check CCNP in US is getting around 6-7K USD. So if you convert 7K USD x 3.6 = RM25.2K It is not only 30k....... I can get commision for each project and plus bonus....I can get 5 percent from tat... some project is around a few million riggit or more...I cannot tell the price.. my boss will fired me if he find out... "gotta go home walk my dog..." for them, this is completely normal, their 'after-hours' will always be respected; heck, i bet 'OT' is not even in their dictionary. We, on the other hand is totally the opposite. after all, there are so many differences about culture even among ourselves. As long as we achieve our targets... |
