QUOTE(quintesson @ Oct 11 2009, 02:08 AM) i've read photographyblog review about the a330, it is not as good as a300 in term of handling & feel. as for a550 is still very new & the price is not gonna be lot cheaper than the obsolete a300. try to find a second hand one???i bet when 500/550 is here..u gonna see alot ppl selling their 300...my main consideration is i'm a beginner & a300 already given what i need anti shake, anti dust & live view + most of all a more affordable price for me to learn b4 climbing up the ladder. too bad the price is exp in singapore..actually there r alot ppl selling a300~a700 due to upgrades... |

The K7 has a redesigned grip. That said, if you ever look through the menus you'll be convinced!

ISO on A330 is better then A300. output is important 2. A330 new shutter design helps SSS to preform better, quieter, software, and longer lifespan. 3. A330 bigger OVF help u compose better. A300 is smallest in DSLR history. composition is important 4. A330 better informative LCD info help learning easier, faster. A300 doesnt hav. 5. A330 better DRO then A300 output is important bad thing bout A330? 1. grip, seriously, if u say u are new to camera, and not very picky, i dont see the grip is any problem, as they Dont Make Your Photo Nicer. 2. Manual/custom WB being remove. i believe, 70% of lyn A300 user still dont use it. so... will you? 3. mmm, i can go all day long, but non of these i going to mention will affect the result or output quality of the photo. Added on October 11, 2009, 2:22 am QUOTE(AlphaBeta @ Oct 11 2009, 02:06 AM) @albnok..i like the bokeh produced by the STF...thx for the explaination. jump ship again lor, now olympus! kekekeke All Weather Proof!~yea up to each person... U may use photoshop to lower down the noise or get a better FF with a price of course. woah..i have not even been to anywhere outside malaysia except australia. Shooting under snow isnt my problem to worry too. But i really would like to shoot under heavy rains...i missed out few opportunities to shoot some events due to heavy rain! Im sure a700 onwards are able to shoot under rain..but im not going to risk it..coz they are no strong prove or ppl tried to shoot under heavy rain and claimed tht it has no problem. wireless for the win! all DSLR grips are good for me except 1000d,d40,d60 and Pentax...gosh i hate pentax the most.. Heavy rain isnt a problem..unless windy + heavy rain!..then u have to be careful. |

QUOTE(noprob @ Oct 11 2009, 12:07 AM) i hv a bad time shooting zoo animals with range below 70mm (kit lens)... therefore i skip the Zoo outing....n join the next week Flash workshop QUOTE(iena_jr @ Oct 11 2009, 12:08 AM) guys.... i've planned to buy alpha...but suddenly when i join a photographer's forum, the forumers said sony is hgyt%DX$# nikon n canon is the best n bla bla bla... so i need help n some motivation here.. Most important is do ur homework.. check out wat suit you the best... money/usage/ mayb even kakis...(if many of ur friends using certain brand)... any many other factors. =.= Added on October 11, 2009, 12:10 am my roomate and i will go to hotel istana on 7th november...huhuhu When I first wan to get a dslr... I oredi set my eye on Canon 400D.. 1st. bcause of the "BRAND" i oredi know it even b4 i done any research. 2nd. bcause im using Canon pns camera before this. Then when i finally go through some research... I come out with few options... 400D / A100/ pentax K100... from there i finally decided A100 for this few reason: 1. Cheaper compare 400D (during that time) 2. 18-70mm (better range n better kit lens) 3. SSS (long term saving in IS/VR lens... I know i wont be Professional journalist or whoever that rely cari makan with camera) 4. Better grip for my hand...n better body buildquality.. 5. Minolta technology n Sony (believeing in its quality control) , can get some old , but excellent minolta lens..(end up i din buy any minolta lens 6. No friends playing dslr that time... im the first one.. so i din get any influence from others.. On other hand. I know the Noise level for the A100 unable to beat the 400D... but the above reasons is enough for me to decide wat i want. So end of the day.. get what suit u best.. n Not following wat ppl generally SAY! QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 11 2009, 01:53 AM) AlphaBeta: This, most simply, shows how the STF works optically: Wow.... din know a bokeh can be so much different.... it makes me take note of "watever that is OOF" now in my photo... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Note that unlike the Defocus Control or Soft Focus lenses, it does not add a layer of haze or soften the out-of-focus area. Instead, every single out-of-focus point is graduated from the center. Thus there is never an out-of-focus thick stripe with bright outlines (bad bokeh!) Also, the front element is oversized so that all OOF points are perfect circles (the 135mm F1.8 in the comparison, gives cat's-eye bokeh the further away from the center.) |

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 11 2009, 01:21 AM) Briefly, it is a superb camera, and a very solid replacement for the A350. Control-wise it is very much a Live-View-centric camera. It feels very different. I practically did not use the optical viewfinder at all due to the superb LCD gainup in sunlight. damn! my hands are itchy oredi.. |
