Congrats..
NOT pro here. No big prob with the diffuser always on.
Depend on the type of diffuser used. Generally with diffuser, ur flash will need to use more power compare to without diffuser. For example the Stofen diffuser will cut down 2-3x of your flash intensity. Thus, it suck more battery juice..

And using the ADI *might* give you underexpose pic.

Try it and you will know smile.gif

don think they are bringing in a500. heard it from albolk?
*
yup... don't think a500 will be coming in... coz might conflict with the a330/a380's price... hopefully the a7x0's price

QUOTE(ieR @ Oct 9 2009, 10:46 PM)
THANK GOD... hahaha.

well, why arent the lcd infront of u less useful? i mean, all u have to do is, move ur head backwards, u see all info on the lcd,  rather then tilt ur head backward and turn ur camera 90degree (or lower it)  to see the lcdpanel... that make u unable to ANTICIPANT good shot for event, candid, tracks. tongue.gif seriously, think bout it. summore our sony battery life span is long. tongue.gif just my 2 cent, maybe people just love the lcdpanel on top.
*
OR, you can flip the screen upwards?? since the screen can be tilted? hehehe...

QUOTE(hezda @ Oct 9 2009, 11:47 PM)
Woot.... no sample photo yet but let me present the 70300G...

The SSM is really really silent and I can hardly hear the focus at all.

The only complaint now is that the rubber grips for zooming and focusing are very easy to get dirty...
*
Maybe coz the lens in in MF mode? or it's not focusing at all???? hehehehe... J/K.... I demand TT!

QUOTE(countdracula @ Oct 9 2009, 11:55 PM)
wow... 70300G. how i wish...

if you're shooting indoors and the ceiling is too high, then you don't need the diffuser...

its depends..for me when i do direct flash i will use difuser to difuse the harsh light from the flash to the object.
in other cases i seldom use the difuser..^^
