just bought small cobra, want to check with pro, if flash installed diffuser, will it be good all the while taken picture without remove the diffuser? any down point of doing thise
Congrats.. NOT pro here. No big prob with the diffuser always on. Depend on the type of diffuser used. Generally with diffuser, ur flash will need to use more power compare to without diffuser. For example the Stofen diffuser will cut down 2-3x of your flash intensity. Thus, it suck more battery juice..
And using the ADI *might* give you underexpose pic.
Try it and you will know
oh no, the diffuser is call Phottix Bounce Flash diffuser... not sure how many x of the softern level of it, it was recommend by the boss in cns, ohh forgot the soften brand, some more the box label for canon 430ex
tq for the advice too, will try and try

if you're shooting indoors and the ceiling is too high, then you don't need the diffuser...
your statement is totally contradicted with the statement from cns boss ---> "how your flash gun to bounce if no ceiling or too high ceiling, you must use diffuser help to soften flash..."
btw, i've read about the price comparison.. the flashes between sony, nikon n canon... sony is the cheapest.. idk why ppl keep saying sony is EXPENSIVE. lol
bcos sony dslr dun have video record mode, slightly cheaper
guys what is the approximately cheapest street price for a300 std package now? does it come with bag? which alpha model come with video recording & live view? thanks

after using my f58 a month, i found tat my a700 cannot detect f58 when i attach it on the body, and i try wireless but the flash cannot be trigger...
is tis a oxidising problem ? wat are the solution for it ??
really feeling bad when the flash does not fire
i think is the hot shoe contact problem. my camera after a year used, just last 2 days bought small cobra the first time attach into camera, it is doesn't work. the seller helps to scratch the 4 contacts metal dots, after that it is work
here's my entry for last week alpha challenge at zoo melaka. pic is original, not yet pp. pls comment wat to improve... i sense something's wrong. it's underexpose.

Battery indicator? The battery indicator will display only when the battery is low. If your batteries are fresh, the indicator will not show.
It will not show any percentage or how much time is left coz it's all depending on how the flash is used. If you fire it at 1/1 power all the time, the batteries will not last very long. Typically, a fresh set of batteries should last around 400 shots, give or take in normal usage.
hi Shootkk, thx for replied. btw, how i know the flash is shoot at 1/1 power?
just now so panic handon the flash, after change lens from 1870 to 55200 the wireless flash cant flash anymore. panic and doin trouble shooting try n try... last last forgot that to pull up internal flash

do not use the 1/1 to try to dry up ur batt, ur flash bulb also have lifespan~~ in fact everything in the world has lifespan, use it wisely.
if the bulb burnt or reach life span, can it be replace just for the bulb? how much the cost for the replacement bulb?

Sooner or later, the SLR format will be outdated once somebody can figure out how to give ALL 3 simultaneously: 1) Fast focus in all operating modes (Live View, Optical Viewfinder, Video) 2) Optical viewfinder 3) Video mode
Nikon/Canon/Pentax have 2) and 3).
Sony has 1) and 2).
Panasonic has 1) and 3).
Sony A777 - 36MP, 1920x1080P HD, Exmor Sensor + Carl Zeiss Sonnar T Coated + Dual BionZ + SSD - Pawn all
seriously, just peanut for sony if they really want to integrate with video mode

jimlim007: You can hear it if you fire at 1/1 power - the flash will charge up loudly.
weird, i only heard the flash charging sound from internal one when i half press shutter... but not heard any from flash gun some more the internal flash have reduction on the flash power (teach by the seller) - for wireless mode

jimlim007: The only sound that should happen when half-pressing, is when the body transmits the focal length to the flash, and the flash adjusts the zoom head accordingly. Try zooming all the way in and half-pressing, then zooming all the way out and half-pressing.
sad, i still cant heard and different it only hearing zhi zhi... sound

nope... I happened to be back hometown...thats why i so looking forward this year one.. but then it was posponded again.. 135mm for Stalking woa Cool girl.. the expression is like some super agent doing stunt! Taken with which lens? Moooo.. y not able to go? thought u gonna follow my car go?? can pick u up from uptown Oright i'll go take a look... these r my wish...
1. A550 Iso performance on all upcoming models. 2. more intermediate - advance camera bodies. 3. a redesign of Sony Rubber ring on Sony lenses (or give different choices ) 4. Release SAL 16-105mm F2.8 for APS-c Body (jz kidding.. SAL 1750mm F2.8 sony version with affordable price good enough) 5. or resurrect the "minolta Beercan"
and these too:
6. 1080P @60FPS HD video mode / Dolby 5.1 (New feaure - one shot pawn all C & N in video mode) 7. Release SAL 16-250 F2.8 APS-C Body (New lens) 8. Re-batch F42AM & F58AM & future flash guns with using Li-Ion battery (using AA, everyone tak pakai Sony NiCd pun - so win win) 9. Trade-in used lenses/flash programe (New marketing strategy - value average by item aging) 10. Provide reasonable service/spare part (flash bulb, hot shoe, etc)
and please tell Sony if Sony eagle want be No.1 Leader/Taikoh in DSLR and absorb the big market segment, they must manufacture well know product (eg: iCore5) with affordable price to compete and lead Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Oylmpus, like what Intel did to AMD (Desktop CPU) or what AMD ATI (fastest card) did to NVidia (GTS) in Graphic world.
Haha, otherwise Sony can continue their current business practice to loosing Billion Yen $$ every year they report alhough have great produce like PS3
carry too far, back to topic, good luck to alphanatics

A lot of the pros love Zeiss lenses but not enuf variety at the moment. I've read a few interviews of Canon Pros who jumped to Sony. The main reason was for the love of Zeiss lenses. So if Sony can pump out more Zeiss n G lenses, we can really watch the games begin. It will no longer just be about Dark Side vs White. It will be Dark vs White vs Orange. Hehe
sony sold carl zeiss to canon

btw guys wan to ask wat bag u guys using to carry your camera + lens around??
expensive brand is leowpro, kata, etc.
cheaper and realiable (i think la, just ordered, havent received yet) is DriftWood; there is a model from Driftwood 95% same to National Geographic bag
backpack is not suitable to let u access as you need to remove bag from ur back and open those click; it useful when use it go kai kai (makan angin with bringing laptop); i have fastpack 250 but seldom use. sling bag is pretty good to be used, easy access to ur gear most important, the ring join must be metal type. (my ex-bag rm30 putus the plastic that let u adjust the strap length, cant imaging if putus at critical hook and entire bag fall )
like Uncle Ho say, i also bankrupt d. want to sell my fast pack 250, you want?
