Hi, niakulah. I did not need to buy yet, but browsed around Lazada!

BTW, been meaning to ask, where can I get Vibram or Topy shoe protectors
(half soles)? For DIM (do it myself). Any idea?
*
I'm sure the local cobblers will sell them to you if you ask.

I've never bought from them, but I've had this shop in my bookmarks for some time now. Mostly because they sell metal toe plates and the brass screws for them.

Yes, there is cedar aroma.

Yes it does. Not sure if it helps, but I like it.

FWIW, my first shoetree from Loake was not cedar and the shoe I'm using it with smells fine. I do take good care of my shoes though.

Now I am thinking to get from shoe tree project or mr minit now haha

Oh and if buying online, you want Juniperus Virginiana and NOT Cedrus atlantica. Made that mistake already...

I have both type of shoe tree, MUJI one and from STP. Both will have cedar smell when new. I read up that to return the smell you need to use sand paper to scrub it, but in the end I didn't manage to get the cedar smell back.

Now just using them to prevent moisture build up and retain shape of the leather.

I see.

Just to share. Left to right.
Loake non cedar - 5yo
Loake cedar - 4yo
Loake cedar - 3yo
Mr Minit cedar -1yo

All of the cedar ones still smell good. Never sanded them or added essential oils. Although the 5 year old one smells mossy...

Their horse hair brush is very reasonable priced

I have a few of their smaller horse hair brushes and always they always lose their hairs and the hairs are quite hard and abrasive.

I have a larger Florsheim horse hair brush and it’s the best brush I’ve used. Very fine soft hairs I used for daily touch-ups

in case not good then still can get a cedar wood from local retail for around 90 MYR (but out of stock now)

Normally cobblers charge about RM70 to RM80 for Vibram half soles (including fitting), but depending on type, some can
go up to RM150, inclusive of labor.

Price is the same for YKL cobbler at 1 Mont Kiara when i put vibram half soles and heels on my vintage florsheim imperials. They has a few pattern choices

Was a shame to cover up the v-cleat heels but on office marble floors it was like I was ice-skating

May I know what is your budget that is reasonable to you? Around RM 200+ ? I believe Clarks are quite okay for budget shoes, can top up a bit and buy during sales.
