Would be interested in a handwelted shoe. How do we tell which models are Goodyear welted and which are handwelted?

All of our RTW shoes are goodyear welted sir.

The handwelted shoes I see in their Instagram are MTO? Or bespoke?

The handwelted are MTOs, the RTW section only have GYW constructed for now.

Went to crockett and jones, barker, trickers store in jermyn street. Best service is at crockett and jones. Sales person was informstive and helpful. First time i have ppl actually measured my feet, give recommendations and even put on the shoes for me. Felt like a VIP. Tried on a bunch of shoes...

The service at barker though were dissapointing as the salesperson werent very well informed of its own products. Trickers meanwhile, were behaving quite disinterested in serving (maybe coz i face problem or what). But in the end also have to reluctantly bring out the shoes to let me try. Hehe.

Sounds like my idea of a good time. Did you buy anything? Pics?

Been looking for an Indonesian hand made shoes for a while, but shipping and sizing could be a problem since I never buy shoes before trying. What are the price range sir?

Thanks for the suggestions, but I am currently happy with my GYW shoe rotation. The only things that would compel me to buy more are superior fit(bespoke) or superior construction (handwelted).

Does P Lal have a mid year sale or something like that for their shoes and if they do when does it usually happen?

Thinking bout getting a pair of Loake or Cheaneys if it's on sale

Is there any other places besides P Lal with different brands of shoe that is GYW that I can get for a good price?

My budget is about RM1000ish but I was hoping to get a shoe for about 500-600 if it's possible, so I can buy 2 pairs.

I do a lot of walking and would like something that can last for years.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys wanna ask. For regular departmental stores leather shoes like hush puppies, camel, geox etc etc...

What grade of leather do u think they generally are? If they are just low grade leathers, do we still need to apply conditioners and polishes to take care of them? Will it make any difference?

Which departmental stores brand do u think have ranges for full grain leather? Those like clarks they all?
