QUOTE(sebastianX11 @ Feb 5 2017, 04:01 PM) Most cobblers can do it. This pair I just sent it to a neighborhood cobbler that was subletting a restaurant, in a cubicle with 3 plywood walls. The finishing was not great. My Cheaney I sent to a cobbler in a mall. Quite satisfied with the end result. |

Thanks Ah you meant actual Topy brand? The neighborhood cobbler didn't have it but the mall cobblers, including Mister Minit chain, does. |

Rotate. 2-3 pairs is good enough. How did you guys can tahan wear shoes for so long? Insole tak rosak ke? 2. Shoe care and maintenance. Use trees, condition, change toplift of heels before they wear into the next lift, etc. I know what you are thinking of when you say insole tak rosak. My dress shoes don't have that kind of insole that you are thinking of. The insole is a relatively thick piece of leather that is almost (almost because unfortunately , I know the difference between handwelted and Goodyear welted shoes) part of the structure of the shoe. On top of this is glued a paper thin leather cover called a sock or sock liner. Some are full length and some are half, both can be replaced. |

One of my shoes, I've almost worn out the rubber outsole that I got the cobbler to glue onto the leather outsole. (What I call Topy but is actually cap ayam rubber).but then because walking quite a lot, the insole takes alot of beating...and yeah worn out And I'm a heavy fella. >90kg on most days. Little to no wear that I can see on the insole. |
