Guys...you should know that VP is just a title. And in the real world, even the VP title comes with few level.

Foreign bank usually use this fancy title as compared to local bank.

For example, Manager at local bank is = to AVP already.
And Senior Manager = VP....

Not that big once you know how the bank hierachy works.

Are you kidding bro? Second Officer basic RM9K? If you tell me RM9K is inclusive of Basic + Allowance, then maybe I will belief it.

Why? Bcos I have a relative working as a Pilot (First Officer) with Airasia as well. He did show me his payslip to me 2 mths ago.

He is also operating the A320 and occasionally A340, but his basic only RM5K. However, if inclusive of allowance, it will make up another RM4K to RM6K (depends on long he fly during that month, max is 80 hrs).
Hence, one month alone can fetch up approx RM10K to RM12K.

So, how could a 2nd Officer earns more than a 1st officer in terms of basic salary, RM9K vs RM5K?

Guess u eat and entertainment also not that much so with that salary u can saved some cz u have no loans to pay...Besides, how bout for parents and insurance if u have????

Parents: RM 500
Insurance: Not sure about that but my company got insurance coverage for me for group term life and personal accident...should I buy life insurance for myself?
PTPTN loan: RM 200 monthly


But I tend to spend more on clothes and entertainment......planning to save RM 1000 monthly from my salary....

for us fresh grad starting salary is around 2.2k to 2.6k if lucky. Since u definitely have to spent rm1.1k plus entertainments and shopping, it will be an achievement if u can save rm1k per month....Sad, to say if u r living in KL ntg much u can saved....too much life

May I know whats the next level up for you? Who sits on top of senior manager/VP? The CEO/President? How many SM/VP normally are there in a typical Malaysian bank? Since you are already the Head of department, is it fair to say that maybe you expect just annual increment until retirement or is there further scope of promotion? Is it like someone else posted, that there are actually few levels of SM/VP?

BTW, how many people do you manage in your department?

Oh ya. Sorry about that. Itsa typo.my basic is just 4k. so inlusive allowance about 7k per month. im a bit sleepy at that time when i posted it. but are you sure your relative who flying A340 basic 5k? i dont think so bro.......
