haiz..just now update my Mobo bios to newer version.. it says added support for phenom II and athlon II in release note...
after updated, the NVacc option dissappear from the bios already...y?? y!!!
revery back to 1 version older bios..NVacc was back..but no point with tis option on athlon X2...


still my max clock speed on my antique 4800+ was 3240Mhz...can run many times super pi 1M calculation without problem..but once i up the base clock even 1Mhz more then 270Mhz, it cant finish the super pi 1M already.. looking forward to change to athlon II when i hav money..

imo, some bios option will appear based on the processor that attached at socket..i might be wrong

voltage used was @ 1.6v, so i guess they use elpida chipset on this serie.

gd70, i rike.. for sure it got tonnes of tweakin options inside d bios...



really depend on d p95 setting, if u leave it on default blend test, d time taken for one particular test is 15 mins. usually blend test start @ 1024k (ram portion i supposed) and last for 15 mins only, then d next test is @ 8k which is @ cpu/l2 cache. so 20 mins of that kinda setting really not sufficient enuf to justify d stability of ram imo.

iirc, only 980a chipset can do core unlockin...

yup, what we can do is to tighten d timing, but as u mentioned b4, it's pointless to go too high in MHz, tight timin would be more beneficial... big toe a.k.a tony @ bleeding age knows d best...

Precisely, but I also can't yet understand why we cant go more that 1800mhz??? It looks like the whole architecture isn't supportive enough, be it the mobo and the CPU...

i think we need more than am3 to take full advantage of bandwidth provided by ddr3, a breakthrough from AMD is much needed...
