Did you Jailbreak to get this feature or its a standard feature already available for Celcom?

I bought from Maxis. OTB firmware was 3.0.1. Straight JB without doing anything eg; those ipcc files.
I just don't know how this feature is available for Celcom

By the way, regarding my reception call drop, can I just update my FW to 3.1 from iTunes and upgrade the baseband as well? Might think that the new baseband can handle Celcom broadcast? Thanks. I don't need the tethering at the moment.

"The iPhone 3GS is now supported in PwnageTool 3.1.3, assuming the phone was pwned at 3.0 or 3.0.1 - PwnageTool does not support the 3GS out of the box. If your iPhone 3GS has 3.1 preinstalled and is not Pwned then there is no tested jailbreak solution at the moment."

I think you are safe at the moment because you have Jailbreak at 3.0.1.

my iphone suddenly cant detect maxis service this morning, it keeps popping up network lost dialog box and no service. restart phone oso same, took out and reinsert sim card oso cannot, need some help...

well bro try working the sim on other phone...maybe the sim got problem..not iphone..try out..

but i notice i cant surf the net with the GPRS/3G/EDGE, only can surf with wi-fi

Problem Encountered : dunno last week few times phone didn't detect maxis network although in full bar area (confirmed by checking wife phone).try to manually search couldn't find network,try using plane mode didn't work.lastly have to resort to restart the phone,then the phone detect the network in full bar.anybody encountered this can advice what's wrong with the phone.

1. copy to your SIM card and then transfer according to the iPhone, OR

2. using the provided nokia PC software, copy your contacts to outlook and then synchronise via iTunes to your iPhone

I usually use 3g or edge for surfing, but sometimes, safari just doesnt load. I end up having to off and on my phone again (and its quite frequent). Any of u guys face this problem?

i think u should swipe ur sim card with ur wife... if the problem persist, then its time for not-so-preferable plan.... the restoration....

back when i use my 3g, this happen couple of times...the first time my sim card was the culprit but i a couple of times also ive experience the network drop after i updated my FW, so i have no other option but to do clean restore and yeah.. its pain staking processes...

Don't forget though, if you are going to restore, and you have JB (remember to use a custom 3.1 ipsw), else if you've restored to 3.1 , no more JB ..


Anyways, my question is.. is there any detrimental effects for keeping your IPhone plugged via USB (and charging of course). I ask because I do that quite frequently with my IPoT to download Apps while WiFI is on etc. Will it shorten the life of the battery etc?

Problem Encountered :

this is wat i did after i received my phone (pls help) [BEFORE JB]
1) activate at MC at 4.30pm (batt level about 50%)
2) make one call, send an sms, online facebook for less than 5 min using 3G
3) come back and i connect to my house wireless internet, didn't disconnect
4) i plugged in to my computer, and do iphone registration at 6pm and then when reach the credit card page, i hold a while bcoz i m trying not to put my credit card info...
5) my fren called me and my iphone ring when connected with USB to comp
6) i picked up tok less than 30 sec..
7) after put down the phone, suddenly the registration page in itunes gone missing
8) i checked my phone.. there is a batttery logo show red and a flash logo below
9) i charged using 3-point pin
10) after about 5-10 min, the phone auto on back.. and i try connect it to maxis
11) there is a warning say the phone has less than 10% power, then after 2 min it went off again...
12) i let it charge, after 10 minutes, the phone auto on and request for the SIM pin again like step10, i remove the SIM card and let it charge.. that time the battery level is around 5-15%
13) after 30 min, i check again... the battery level show 100% d.. =.=''

[AFTER JB] (wont happen always but about once every 2 days, since 1-Oct..)
1) battery will drop for about 30-40% when i sync with iTunes, eg: when 100% sync with iTunes and the batt will become 60%+.. this wont happen everytime i sync tho..
2) battery level jump inconsistent.. from 84% at the first sight.. after a while.. see again, become 100% , then sync with iTunes, after a while, become 80%+ and charging
what is wrong with my iphone?! pls help

I take it you recently got your IPhone? because if you did, the saved ECID SHSH thing only saves for 3.1, which means any updates past 3.1 (like 3.2) means you can downgrade to 3.1.

To be able to downgrade to 3.0 via Saurik's server you need to have had saved your ECID thingie on saurik's server prior to Apple having stopped signing the older firmwares. On your Cydia page at the top of the screen, you should be able to see which ECID is saved for your device.

yup, is the sim card problem, juz now went to maxis centre replace the sim card addy, y they juz give me a lousy 16k sim card?? I using hotlink....

and before this I can send mms but after i replace new sim card mms cant send addy, when send will message fail.

i'm running 3.0.1 , after i saved my ECID SHSH on saurik's server, i found " this device has 3.1 ECID SHSH on file" display on the top of cydia home page, is it normal to has 3.1 ecid shsh on file ? i thought it should be 3.0 ecid shsh on file......anyone has the same case??
