Don't forget though, if you are going to restore, and you have JB (remember to use a custom 3.1 ipsw), else if you've restored to 3.1 , no more JB ..


Anyways, my question is.. is there any detrimental effects for keeping your IPhone plugged via USB (and charging of course). I ask because I do that quite frequently with my IPoT to download Apps while WiFI is on etc. Will it shorten the life of the battery etc?

I take it you recently got your IPhone? because if you did, the saved ECID SHSH thing only saves for 3.1, which means any updates past 3.1 (like 3.2) means you can downgrade to 3.1.

To be able to downgrade to 3.0 via Saurik's server you need to have had saved your ECID thingie on saurik's server prior to Apple having stopped signing the older firmwares. On your Cydia page at the top of the screen, you should be able to see which ECID is saved for your device.

You can't save your ECID SHSH for anything below 3.1 anymore, the system worked in tandem I think, with Apple's firmware signing stuff. so now that apple no longer signs older firmwares, Saurik's server can only save 3.1 for you .I think how it works is, it takes your ECID and communicates with Apple to generate the "authorization" key to sign older firmwares. So please be careful not to restore your phone until 3.1 is JB'd OTB.

Hey guys, I've got a problem with my MMS.. so far I've been able to use the 3G connection to surf/watch you tube/download apps etc, but I've not been able to send MMSes.

When I creat a MMS message and send out, I can see from the status far that it reaches up to the top (90%) and it just stops there until it gives up.

Anybody know what is causing this? (also I can't receive MMSes)

Hmm fingers crossed I guess, if they can jailbreak 3.1 , then cool of course, it'd be wise to let the early adopters in the US test things out first

I've had problems similar to what you described with other hardware due to a faulty USB port (usually on the computer side). Could be that?

Is it just me.. or recently this forum has been flooded with people coming in starting a new thread just to ask one question?? the mods must be tired having to close threads...

Seriously it is so damned easy to find info these days from Google, and nobody seems to bother..

The time you took to type that "plea for help" here you could have easily found the solution..
