hey guys, recently purchased an iphone 3g and already jailbreaked 3.1.2
one thing i noticed in my usage, was that the data sent over 3g increases over time eventho i only use the iphone online when im at home on wifi.

can anybody help?
my bill might increase waaaay over if i dont stop this

it uses ur 3g/edge/gprs data... so i guess u have to pay for that....

Anyone experienced drop calls on Iphone3GS using Maxis postpaid? I got my Iphone from Maxis a week ago and already experienced drop calls.

I don't think it is a generic problem. Only lately it is happening.

nope, no dropped calls. phone was purchased from maxis on 28 Dec 09.

I have only experienced it once though. I only had a hand full of phone calls since the day of purchase. Maybe I am over paranoid

I'm very much happy with the auto-correction function in the iPhone SMS. However, since that the function has a "auto-memory" where a new word typed which initially not exist in the iPhone dictionary will be "remembered" and the next time it can be auto-corrected when it is typed. However, I realized that for some words that I have been typing very often but during the first time when it was typed, I typed them wrongly and since then the auto-correction of these words are starting to annoy me very much. Therefore, my question is, is there a way to reset the "memory" of the auto-correction (beside doing a restoration) that I can reset the whole "auto-correction dictionary" in the iPhone SMS?

Any one of you have this problem:

I bought my Iphone from US few months back. I try transfer something from Itune to my Iphone and my phone suddenly hang. It can't go into the normal way which keep on syaing that my Sim Card is not compatible. So i bring my phone to the Apple store at Sunway and ask them to unlock the phone. Now i only can call out, recived call and sms only. other features such as Wifi and etc i can't use as the features has been locked. Is there anyway to unlock this problem? i ask the sunway tech ppl and they say is due to the phone version problem. Is it true?

Guys, recently my Iphone was locked for no reason. so i brought to the Apple distributer in Sunway and ask them to unlock for me. Now i only can call out, received call and sms only. I cant use my other function such as Wifi or etc....

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary

apple store really unlock your phone? interesting. cause due to what i understand, apple won't unlock it unless you jailbreak which they won't do.
anyway, i think your best bet is to reset/reinstall the os and have it jailbreak again. if the problem still exist, then it should be hardware issue.

Current Firmware : 3.1.2
Current network: (Digi)
iTunes Version : 9
PC/MAC : PC
Jailbreaking software : Cydia? not sure. sorry.
Problem Encountered :

1. Battery drain very fast. every time have to charge coz i can see the battery decrease so fast. How long for the normal use of iphone act?

2. Cannot charge my phone when its empty.When the first time i charged my phone,its already 0%,so i tried to charge with my charger(2 pin charger) but the logo of thunder and battery(with a few red colour) appeared. i wait till next morning but the battery still not charge. I called the seller and he said maybe it is because my Digi sim card(is it logic?), then i tried with usb cable and it is ok. but then i go to change from the seller with the other charger(also 2 pin charger),still got same problem when my batt. empty.

Is it because of my jailbreak? or i have to change to 3 pin charger,it still same rite? i dun want it to be the same result.

Steps Taken So Far :

1. OFF SSH, install SBS, off Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, and so on like in youtube video. (how to increasing battery life)

2. Tried hard reset, nothings happpen.

Other Information/Remarks : i bought this from someone, its oversea set. And the problem is there are no waranty, but the seller give 3month personal waranty to me. Its a new iphone. already jailbreak.
