Good purchase ler. Coz it's more in line with the purpose of the LX3 which is to point n shoot since it has full auto capability. How much was it BTW?

I'm not sure I'll even use it frequently, cos defeat the purpose of a compact camera dy.
I bought it at 750. Good or bad price? Panasonic rebadged FL36 costs Rm1000 rclxub.gif
The size is a bit big and only use 2AA batt. Freaking slow recharging time if i blast full power, but i dont need to use full power often.
Build quality is good.

Maybe should set to manual (M) mode? Whatever position the flash head is, it'll compensate. If not bright enough can still play with the flash compensation. Bounce light better right?

Hi all, I know LX3 has good image quality for a compact PnS. But among Canon S90, Panasonic ZR1 and Fuji F70EXR, which can produce image quality that is closest or comparable to LX3's IQ?

Do you think its stupid to switch from LX3 to one of these PnS?

It's up to your choice, each camera have pros and cons. You can't have it all right? tongue.gif
Choose the one that might suit your usage better.

LX3 only have 2.5x zoom, sometimes wan to snap further than that also cannot.

Probably you can consider canon G11 as well. Well controlled noise at ISO800. I heard the built quality is superb.

Thanks, 2.5x zoom is fine for me. Just that Lx3's size kinda big for me. Its not so "pocketable" if you know what i mean tongue.gif

Canon G11 is bigger than Lx3, out of my consideration... haha

For me LX3 is a very good cam. Just the size not so pocket friendly... haha

it all depends on what you are looking for...
i'm not sure about the image qualities of the mentioned cameras (other than S90)...
but if ur looking for smth compact, where you can just slip the cam into your pocket, then LX3 won't be that much of a convenience for you..
if u always carry a bag around, or that you dun mind hanging the camera on your shoulder or neck, then just stick to LX3 biggrin.gif

from my memory, the G10 feels better than the G11. tested out a G11 recently and it feels like PLASTIC! the shutter is plastic, the body is plastic, everything is plastic. even the S90 feels more solid than the G11. Coming from an LX3 with all-metal housing, the G11 really feels hollow...

not too sure. the G10 only tried once a couple months back with no reference, so its totally from memory. the G11 i tested when i had my LX3 last month along with the S90, so i had the LX3 for comparism.

Thanks for feedback nTHtoSEy & Nightstalker1993. Maybe I'll check out Canon S90 in shop first see if its okay.
I'm not the type that like to bring bag around. So a pocket-able cam would be good for me. But I still like my LX3 very much...
