Regarding warranty, you may want to ask SIS directly. The phone no is 03-5569 8878 :-)
About the map, Idk for sure as I personally don't fancy using GPS. Google Maps is good enough for me, and don't see myself installing any of those heavy weight GPS software :-) |

QUOTE(JayC75 @ Sep 19 2009, 03:04 PM) ya..can it run garmin map? or specially malfreemap format? i think what you need is papago X5 is a better alternative since the maps from malsingmaps are the most updated and free.also, if we install the ROM from XDA forum, will it void the warranty?? What is the cheapest set available currently, i don't care about warranty. |

QUOTE(LEVIATHAN @ Sep 19 2009, 10:38 AM) FINALLY! Levi, did u flashed ur unit to use 2.73.405.5 ?Now I have Android Market in my Hero after following this bit.ly/TVoUL exactly. No problem at all. It's a smooth sailing for me. Now time to go to Market getting some groceries XD Edit: Now I have my Hero exactly as I wanted. With Market :-) Just downloaded Linda. Interestingly enough, my Hero is much more responsive now. I'd say the 2.73.405.5 update is so much faster compared to our update. SERIOUSLY. You can get you settings (WAP, 3G and Internet) from here. |

Yes sir ah ha sir! I flashed my 2-year SIS warranty Hero with
update-hero-generic-2.73.405.5-signed The update is available from xda :-) I don't think I can stand with SlideME SAM for two years. Market is too awesome to miss. This post has been edited by LEVIATHAN: Sep 20 2009, 07:25 AM |

I'd like to retract my previous statement regarding syncing contacts' groups. I previously said that syncing using HTC Sync won't import contacts' groups, which is turned to be false.
HTC Sync (using MS Outlook) DO syncs contacts' groups. |
