QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 15 2009, 09:49 PM) Lower than RM450 for a new one? Sos please, interested to know oh good then. If you planning to sell ur d90 in the future..then get the original grip. If u know u r going to keep it, just get 3rd party..works as well. Just the AEL button will fade in time only.. i don expect much from a grip since it doesn't affect ur image outcome. Third parties are priced around RM250, 200 bucks cheaper than MB-D80. You could get an original EnEL3 battery with changes back!Haven't got one for myself, was reading reviews about it on the internet. Researching a little before buying Added on September 15, 2009, 10:04 pm QUOTE(robindebean @ Sep 15 2009, 10:01 PM) hahaha, but D90 need Yes, D300 to D3x are all 'splash proof'! How nice? Tricky part is, you do not know whether the lens attached is weather proof or not. btw, is weather proof = rain proof?? if yes that means can take photo in the rain?? hey all,
im newbie here..some questions i need to ask as i wanna buy my 1st dlsr (since there's starting promotion for nikon until 30 sept) and i've compare the d3k with d90. here i go:- 1) is there big different between these 2 in term of image quality adn the processing speed? 2) as i did some research in google, their opinion is get a d3k for entry level and get a bettter lense instead of a better body as lenses will get a better 2nd value even after using for 1 or 2 years..but how bout if really using for a long long term..says bout 5-10 years? 3) ccd and cmos sensor, review said dat the image quality for ccd is better than cmos but as i see high-end dslr they do have cmos instead of ccd.any comment on this? any comment from u all are welcome and thanks in advance. if im not mistaken, the d90 and d3000 have the same sensor so image quality shouldn't be any different. I've held the d3000 and it's tiny, with less controls. u get what u pay for.
yes, buying a cheaper body will give ur lens budget more breathing room. lenses do make alot of difference anyway, more so than the body most of the time. its all about priorities. but if u want to keep your body for a long time and improve our gear bsed on lenses, then i'd suggest splurging that 1k more for a d90 instead of a d3000. |

I've held the d3000 and it's tiny, with less controls. u get what u pay for. Nope. The D3000 is using same sensor as the D60. It is a CCD sensor. The D5000 has the same sensor as the D90 which is CMOS. I think the newer CMOS sensor is the one that has very low noise at high ISOs. Yup, if you can afford it, get the D90. The D5000 is nice but you have this recall problem. You don't know whether all the new D5000 out there have are from the good batch. Nikon is not transparent about bad batch serial numbers.yes, buying a cheaper body will give ur lens budget more breathing room. lenses do make alot of difference anyway, more so than the body most of the time. its all about priorities. but if u want to keep your body for a long time and improve our gear bsed on lenses, then i'd suggest splurging that 1k more for a d90 instead of a d3000. If you're gonna buy a few lenses in the future, better go for D90 as well as it has the in body motor. Then get the D series lenses. Image quality is same or better than the AF-S/G lenses except you don't have the SWM motor. |

Go for D90 if possible, the body AF motor will save you on the lens.
For example the AF-S 50mm f1.4 and the 50mm f1.4D. |
