hey guys, how can i transfer my contact or sms from WM(x1) to e71 ?

i did mine yesterday. quite easy actually.
just sync ur contact from wm to outlook.
then sync ur e71. done! all contact copy.

for sms, yet to think how to do it. hehe... anybody?

All ur data by tat u mean all in memory card? If so .. Tat mean ur card is corrupted.. A brief format and reset ur phone.. And soli to say d data is gone...

I got this error message when try to setup my email.

"Installation package not found. Check that memory card is inserted"

help pls...

ur step is like tis right:
messaging>mailbox>start>yes>connecting to server>email or nokia email service>i always jus choose email but some prefer nokia email>type in ur email and password>next> wizard completed> ok>email setup..

usually for company email u need to ask ur technical support to help out.. as u need to connect to ur company intranet or server..

confuse! what's wrong? memory card corrupt? but my docs & music clips in memory card still ok.

my e71 got slightly soaked due to water spill on saturday...

when i picked it up, it showed a grey screen.. i took out the battery and let the phone dry up til now...

will let it dry for another 2 days just to confirm...

anyone knows what i can do? anyone experience this before?

u've changed ur memory card to a bigger capacity wan rite? did u copy watever it was in the given memory card after u switched to a new memory card?

i didn't change the memory card, but i quess, it have been reformated. hmm...is there anywhere i can download those file?

Hi guys, sorry if this issue has already been posted and replied before. I'm having problems with my phone - When I receive calls and smses, it doesn't show me the Names, only the numbers. Does this mean I have to hard reset and re-copy everything again?

Please advise.

reformatted eh.. but it shouldn be ma.. as nokia email system is in the phone not the card..
can u online using ur phone? r u connected to the internet when connecting to server? wireless , edge or 3g?

it mean ur phone hav a duplicate number.. the phone is blur which to show.. so jus do fresh entry..and check for repeatness

this issue been discuss over and over and over and over and over again.

Solution is u have duplicate contact with the same number in your phone. The phone doesnt know which to take so it shows number. Check your phone whether phone and memory is it show together if not search which contact is duplicate

Insurance as in pictures of ppl being taken without consent will be notified in a way.

note: my set is 2nd, buying from other forumer. he reset everything before give to me.

i think u can solve it by downloading nokia email app. had this problem before. once u download, it will ask u to connect to server, just cancel it if u plan not to use nokia email.

by the way, download nokia email using the 'download' option and what i meant by not using nokia email is u can still use the normal messaging email even if u dont setup ur nokia email.

Sorry for the wrong info, it's actually my wife's phone.
She complaint that the SMS's Inbox and draft was all gone.
The rest (contact, memory card and etc) are fine...

I just got a weird problem wif me E71...as ya'll know that Digi has introduced 3G service on 22th Oct. Ok, so I switch my Network Setting's to Dual mode (UTMS & GSM)..3G service is still very limited, heard Digi mentioned that it only covers Damansara, Bangsar & dunno where d. It happens my housing area's 3G signal was xtremely weak! Therefore the phone always searching for both Network...funny thing is - The Battery starts to HEAT ...hmm, starts to panick d...ok switch back to GSM only...ok wor! Dang!!! Hahaha..then switch back to Dual Mode...it gets heated up again

Anyone experience this?

i wanted to do the same as u as well.. but when i switch to dual mode it is still under edge.. i switch to utms only it got zero signal.. so jus switch bac to gsm nia.. no chance to test 3g.. only tried it once using maxis..digi 3g is still not wide so if u r not in strong constant coverage like penang better jus stick to gsm lor.. if not ur phone will kept searching for 3g signal hence the battery heat up tis wont happen if u r in strong coverage area.. as ur signal didnt disappear..
