hi guys, i just updated firmware via pc suite last nite

after that, i notice my contacts when i try to open, the screen flickers, then goes back to home screen. in pcsuite i can still see my contacts. i know some members have talked aobut this issue before and suggested to reformat.

the only program im worried about is the Garminxt. if i backup everything to pcsuite, reformat my phone, and then upload my backups back to my phone, will my garmin be alright?

now everything is working

so far v300 i feel is slightly less error free. only my opinion.
v200 i felt my phone some times appls will not open properly (screen flicker then go back to home screen)

so far im happy with v300 but i only havebeen using less than 24 hours so i will need some more time before coming to a conclusion.

mailbox > options > email settings > connection settings > incoming/outgoing > access point "always ask"

then u can choose manually how u want to connect

blablasheep : im using v300 and yes the battery life is significantly less than v200. however it still lasts me about 1.5 days tho

ps : is it really firmware issue? cause i notice all phones ive used that the early stages battery life is very long but as it gets older the life also shortens righT?

some shops tell me its cause sometimes when we leave the phone to charge and over-charges, it damages the battery as a whole. can anyone enlighten me?

hey guys, even in v300 the problem of contacts flickering and returning back to home screen is still there. getting kinda sick of it already... i tried 2 times, and the only way is to reset the phone entirely.

any of you have an easier way?

the author suggested to remove Windows live from apps manager and my contacts is working again now.

yes both version i had the problem.

v200 = after reformat phone, it was okay.

v300 = after reformat, still not okay. uninstall windows live = HOORAY !

i have never been able to open windows live

same problem, i open, screen flicker, go back to menu page. lol. so i never bothered with windows live... my life is better without it lol

legendkiller86 : i guess its similar to thumb drive/ext hard drive etc, whereby sometimes if u disconnect without "safely remove", some info will be lost. never happened to me yet... but better safe than sorry lol

xavi : in the protection section in page 1, can add zagg invisible shield also. just widen the options for fellow users. im using the shield and its worth every penny of the rm80 i paid -.-

according to nokia website, to check which apps are running, hold the menu button correct? my phone when i hold the menu button, the msg reader comes out and reads my emails. any idea why?

oh !! lol. my bad. will update with photo of ZAGG shield applied on my phone in about an hour

noob question : while trying to access my garmin today i got the msg "detailed map required visit garmin.com bla bla black sheep..."

whats the file name for detailed maps? and which folder in the memory card do i put it in? resources? garmin? arrr!

i notice after update v300 and reinstall garmin my garmin now takes 2 mintes plus to find satellite. anyone else got my prob? before only like 10 seconds
