hmm, what diff between cmg and cmt?
actually i am thinking to keep the ram because by looking at the market, there are not much good ram to choose, unless hypers chip which is too expensive...

Technically I don't know. As for overclocking and from what I read on other forums/websites, most Dom GT overclockers are using CMG kit biggrin.gif

this is the best i can hit with cl8 with 1.65v.increasing voltage till 1.7v wont help increasing much freq.
i guess linx is gud enuf to show this ram stable at cl8 aite?

review in guru3d can hit 2246 with cl9 using this RM640 ram.

Guys, a question, I oc my i5 750 at 4.0ghz stable (H50 CPU cooler)

Today I change to Corsair Dominator ram, and bios say my OC fail so now I use back original setting.

My question is, what I need to change in the setting? DRAM timing is set at auto. ratio and QPI is 4 and 16.

Thanks biggrin.gif

change the bios back to optimise default. try RE-oc bit by bit...make sure QPI set to lowest available...

fren, ur temp is on load or idle?i think ur ram is limiting the OC.. ur using wat ram?better rams means u have pelnty of space to push ur OC rather than ur value rams.

Using kingston value rams...able to push it to about 1600mhz before this . However I adjusted the ratio to run at 14xx mhz i think. The 70C temp is at max load.

You are going to need a big jump of voltage for 4.2GHz, I'm on 4.27@1.37v. Usually the temp will increase by 10'c but this will depend on various situation.
