QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Nov 20 2009, 02:43 PM) I did a little more tweaking just now. Now its running 3.6Ghz@180x20 on stock setting. I bump Vtt a little to 1.15v when windows hang during prime95. Ram at 1440Mhz@1.65v with loose timing just in case. Im running prime now. Will check if got error when i get back home later today.... for your information, msi, asus(except ROG), gigabyte board do not have the chipset to monitor the voltage of vdimm, vtt and such, so no software will able to read the voltage.. only the software come with the mobo able to read, and it just report the value u set in bios, it might have a big difference from the actual voltage.Im still searching for software to report voltage. Non seems to work for me in win7. The MSI control center report at 1.78v regardless of how much i lower. It only show different reading once i push above 1.8v. So now im not sure is it a bios fault or the software fault... |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Nov 21 2009, 11:22 AM) Thanks.. i think tht is the case as i cant find any software tht can report voltages to me except vcore. Only the MSI control center could. So there is no where for me to double confirm the readings ya, cause cpu voltage reading is build in the cpu..After more testing. I come to the conclusion that my rig cant support bclk above 180 with ram ratio 4. Means i max out about 180 x 20 @ 1440Mhz which is about 3.6ghz. I have no idea what is the problem. If i test seperately: bclk max out about 210 wit ram at ratio 3@1260Mhz memory max out about 170 wit ram at ratio 5@1700Mhz I just cant make them work together... Now im running a compromise of 3.9ghz @ 205x19 @ with 1230Mhz ram.... such a waste. that a downside for a good board QUOTE(phat_mcjack @ Nov 21 2009, 12:28 PM) use forum upload feature which is faster to load |

QUOTE(phat_mcjack @ Nov 24 2009, 11:50 PM) now i'm starting all again...lol... each processor have it own stock vcore, try load the processor at stock clock and u can see what your processor vid.cleared d cmos... wanna see how much can go without any +vcore...1.251v is default for dis proc rite?? if u load your processor at oc-ed speed, even u set auto in vcore, the vcore might not the actual vid of the processor. |

QUOTE(Vigilant @ Apr 6 2010, 09:56 PM) I just do 4Ghz, load 65'c only how come your ram so suck? i tot it will have similar capabilities with mine On top of that this poor ram having problem running 1900 9-9-9-24 1.65, memtest 4.00 5-6 passes but prime95 blend will fail in 5-10 minutes or if lucky 20 minutes. Fatal error rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4. RAM or temperature? This post has been edited by hengmy: Apr 7 2010, 01:15 AM |

QUOTE(Vigilant @ Apr 7 2010, 06:42 PM) I dont know I need 1.7v to play your is version 2.1 or 2.2?1866 8-7-8-22 1T or 1900 9-9-9-24 2T I wouldn't dare raise higher. Although this kit is CMT, latest revision hardly die... but I just dont wanna spend $$$ anymore if anything mine was also new CMG kits, it dont clock as well as old TR, it need higher vdimm to do same clock as TR. but the best thing was it dont die easily |

QUOTE(Budak_kl @ Apr 10 2010, 08:16 PM) u can but i think other brand will do better, such as biostar.QUOTE(SkywalkerxX @ Apr 10 2010, 08:55 PM) not all motherboard have can monitor vdimm from software unless u uses the overclocking software from the motherboard, which not accurate (just derive what u set in bios)if u are using msi and asus(non rog), no hope in this |
