DG, allow me to elaborate in an endeavour to help him.

The screen will be as picture one when a call comes in albeit without the photo unless you set it when it is asleep. When the phone is awake, it will be as screen #2. I do not believe there is any setting to it.

I was wondering why both of my iPhones cant send MMS.
OS 3.0.1 JB. Maxis APN is correct at default APN.
Tried many pics from small to large, jpeg to gif. All failed.

Yeah, i was able to MMS using Nokia N95 8GB.
Been attempting 2 Maxis postpaid & prepaid simcards but both also failed.
Freshly reinstalled firmware & JBed also helpless.

i have no idea then.

because i was having difficulties previously and mine clashed with the virgin mobile profile, when i ported over to optus.

so optus had to manually delete my profile and then start from the start.

i had to use a SE phone and then send the MMS to myself to create a new optus MMS profile.

Ok maybe I should try another phone to MMS to my iphone.

I got my iPhone from USA,and have successfully JB to FW3.0. Before this, i'm on FW2.2 and i can't connect to the internet using my 3G connection (i'm using MAXIS). so decided to upgrade to FW3.01. right after i've upgrade it, i can use my 3G already. can check email, surf the web, etc. no other apps were installed. neither appstore nor cydia.

after a week or so, i already have a few apps installed from cydia and appstore (free apps). then, i tried to use my 3G again. to my shock, the problems occured again. i can't use my 3G. i've already bring my set to MAXIS centre. they said it's because of the apps.

any ideas?

No need to bring to Maxis Center.. I believe you are more experience then the MAxis guys.. Check you setting.. Is the setting is all correct?

hi all, back to my own question, i would like to share the solution, just for the sake of helping others..

ok, referring to my problem, i didnt see any solution at all except to restore the firmware and jailbreak again... but yesterday something funny happened. my cydia crash, for the first time... luckily i've browsed the the topic related before and when i face that problem, the solution just stumbled upon my mind and i tried it and it works. here's the link on how to overcome the cydia crash problem..

okay now my cydia is back to working state again, and it manage to find an update to latest version of iBlacklist... well as usual i upgrade it, without any hassle..

after upgrading complete, i respring and tried out the iblacklist and it works as usual... to my surprise, the sms problem that i faced before, disappear completely!

if u asked me the detail, i dont know. and i dont want to play any guessing game.. but i hope with what im sharing all the gurus and iphone user here could figure out something when encounter the same problem.. anyway thanks all for helping me!

Problem solved! I reset my network settings n restart my iphone.source of problem,not so sure.might be caused by syncing.

Somehow my 'Internet Tethering' option Settings went missing after installing loads of games, utilities, tweaks. I recall tweaking 'Carrier Bundle Support' to allow me configure my MMS settings. Is that the possible cause? How do I enable it again? Pls helpppp.....

No. Screen 1 will only appear if you sync ur contact with outlook or mac address book (of course with photo added in the outloook or mac address book)

Else, if u manually add a photo to the contact directly in the iPhone, u'll get a call screen with large photo replacing the wallpaper.

If your phone jailbroken then there's an app in Cydia to rectify that. If I'm not mistaken, it's called CallerID and Format Fix for 3.0 under Localization section. It will format the numbers to +60-12-3456789 or 0123456789. If you need it to match your preferences, then you need to edit the Default.phoneformat in /System/Library/PrivateFramework/AppSupport.framework. BTW the file is in binary, so you need to use a hex editor. Good luck.
