Hey guys, just a random question. Do you buy a screen protector for your 3gs? And if you did, have you ever thought of the oleophobic coating? xD

Yeah,I still prefer to apply screen protector although have oleophobic coating. Because I'm still worry of scratches. But u can try not applying anything and see how lo...heheh

Yeah, oleophobic is oil resistant, doesn't do any much against scratches

Yeah, I am not saying its gonna be scratch resistant. More like, I love the oil resistant properties of the screen which so far is not available for screen protectors? Or there is one that I not known of?

Why not give it a try....maybe it will help on oil resistence.. I'll using sgp's screen protector. Thinking this is the best screen protector made for iPhone.....Anyone have the same feeling like mine?

Then it starting to become broken, and a few seconds later the voice will be inaudible, then a few more seconds later, people can hear me but my voice become very cartoonish. is this ahrdware problem? or software might caused this?

could be because of the network. why not you switch your sim to another phone and see whether does the same problem persist.

hey anyone feel that the 3gs drains battery damn fast? I hate to switch on the number indicator, cuz it gives me that impression.

already tried that. other phones no problem. im doing a "erase all data" and get back to factory default on my iphone.
btw, if i wish to go for warranty claim, must i go to maxis centre like KLCC or i can i just go to nearby maxis partner in my area? both places also requires the original owner to be present during warranty claim right? but some people said no need..

best is back to the Maxis centre where you have purchase it or main branches like Maxis KLCC, MV, Gardens.

iPhone Generation : 3GS 16GB Black

Current Firmware : 3.0

Jailbreaking software : Purpler1n

Problem Encountered : Cannot connect to 3G unless EDGE is switched on.

Steps Taken So Far :
1. I installed Boss Pref.
2. I enabled 3G and i disabled Edge, and i couldnt connect to the internet.
3. I enabled both 3G and EDGE and could connect to the internet.

4. Is this normal? Why is it when i enable EDGE only it will work?

5. Note: I disabled EDGE and enable 3G, and i tethered it to my PC and it worked.

6. I am worried that i will be charged for the EDGE. Do advice pls. Thx

Initially i tried to jailbreak with RedSnow. But everytime it went into DFU mode, it would 'hang' the moment it said that it was jailbreaking the device. And i tried 2 times and it didnt seem to solve the problem.

I am using Vista and i heard such problems do occur.

So, do u think that by enabling the EDGE it will cost me?

look at step 8. (did u do the unplug the usb?)

all ur data will deduct on ur package, even thought u in Edge or 3G.
If ur in hotlink, 500mb per month.. and etc...
