hi, a question, i've been smsing my friend using the iphone
and like at 1 time, i did not recieve his sms.

when i msg back, suddenly my friend's sms pop's up

it's like the sms is stuck, and i need to sms him once to get the sms he sent, don't care if it is 10 min sms or 30min sms ago, i needed to sms my friend back to like "activate" the sms to recieve to me...

is this normal?

an officially unlocked 3G or 3G S?

I just got my 3GS today. During itunes syncing, msg prompt V3.0.1 update so I click to proceed. But after the dl & in the process of updating the phone, the itunes just stuck at "verify iphone restore with apple" & then error 3014.

The iphone just stuck at the USB cord screen. I restart but the same thing again. I retried this a few times.

Anyone is having this problem?

could you post a few pictures of the alleged failed part? it will be easier for us to understand

During upgrading, there is a msg box "Verify Restore With Apple" with a progress bar & after a few minute iTunes prompt error 3014 as the pic attached below.

Bro, actually for past 2 months, i didnt notice that much until few days ago, i found that sometimes when i make calls, there are few smses popped in a same time.. when i found this is kinda strange, i tried to call and sms from my other phone and it went to voice mail and no sms receive in my iphone. i've tried to switch my other telco number to my iphone, and it gave same outcome. And all of this happens moderately.. Im still able to receive calls and smses sometimes, just like few minutes ago i got a call from my brother, then i've just tried to call my iphone using other phone, and went voicemail again..

Anyway, i will try to do a clean restore/update to 3.0 or 3.0.1, jailbreak, without installing any Cydia apps and monitor the result first when i go back to my own pc. Need to do some survey to proceed the steps first, any recommended link for me? because the unlock and jailbreak not done by me before this..

Add: the battery issue seems went away when i switched back to the original charger, anyway, still need to monitor for few more times

i can only speculate a few possibilities.


1. your 3.0.1 firmware might be corrupted (try downloading a new one)

2. iTunes not installed correctly (re-install again)

how to re-download the firmware? iTunes doesnt seem to provide option for re-download.

Does Maxis accept trade in of 3G Iphone for 3GS?

at the moment, not yet.

Even if they do, the trade in price will not be attractive
IMO not much differences between them, at least not enough to fork up hundreds $ to upgrade.
Anyway just finished updating to 3.0.1, appstore application restore was easy, however all the 3rd party applications from cydia was a pain to re-install because itunes does not do backup on them. Took me a whole 7 hours to finish it . Lucky today is my day off work.

I found out that i really can do little thing only without jailbreak...
Summore i cant even configure a mp3 to my iphone ringtone....

jailbreak is to let u enjoy more on iPhone.... Like install other app, games and lots more.... Once I get my iPhone I will straight jailbreak it... Bare in mind once u jailbreak it yhere were no more warranty

actually it still under warranty if u restore the firmware b4 you send to maxis for warranty..
