juz got my new iphone 3gs, anybody can teach me how to transfer my contact list from my old sony erricson phone to the iphone??

option 1. transfer using sim card..

option 2. sync your sony erricson to window contact..... then use itune to sync your iphone n to update d contact list from windows contact.

option 3. manually type one by one

my sim card only cacn store 250 cocntacts maximum but i got much more contacts in my phone, how do i sync my contact to window contact with sony erricson phone?

cydia = to search other program,software,application etc then download?

heard tht OS3.0.1 released today..any1 got it?

Yup. Updating now to 3.0.1. The download is pretty fast, about 25 minutes to download the 270MB++ update.

Problem Encountered : My iPhone getting warm even the phone is in idle mode, most of the time unable to receive calls and sms, but i can make calls and smses. All the smses and miss call notices will pop in when i make calls or sending an sms. The the battery last for 3-5 hours only from 100% to totally dried out even in standby mode. I've unlock the phone and jailbrake and updated to OS3.0 for around 2 months already, no such problem occurs during this 2 months. I've switch the phone off for whole night and switch it back to on just now, it seems working fine now, but i doubt if the problem comes to me again, i need some advices!

Steps Taken So Far : Switch the phone off for whole night

Edit: It sometimes can receive call/sms but sometimes cannot, it occurs moderately.. and the battery drain much faster than before.. Please give me an advice in proper solution.

P/S: I've switched back to original charger yesterday and the problem still appear sometimes.

So for my problem above, if i update my OS3.0 to OS3.0.1, will it solve the issue?

Anyone updating to 3.0.1 now? Am still downloading. Cumbersome process to JB etc again and restore from backup

i just want to disabled everything (EDGE, 3G, GPRS, ETC) that is trying to suck up all my top up credits. non JB phone, with 3.0 OS.

- for 3g, i guess i can do it directly thru the settings. right?

- i did create a fake APN profile with 'unlockit'. does this means the mobile provider won't be able to suck up all my top up credits anymore?

ok your sim can store 250 contact rite... transfer it to iphone, then delete d 250 contact on d sim and on the phone that u have transfered to d iphone.

then save the next 250 contact and transfer it to iphone again.... and delete and so on..............

it should be working. constantly check your data usage under Settings -> General -> Usage.

however, to be really safe, just jailbreak and disable 3G/EDGE via SBSettings.

Everytime i plug in the usb, there be a normal respond sound and shown the phone is charge, after several hours, the battery level still at the minimum red level, nothing been charged at all and the phone became heated

trial and error. get another USB sync cable and test it.

2nd cable,
worked = current USB sync cable faulty
not charging as well = battery might be faulty

you can try. but that sounds more like a hardware issue than a software issue to me. if the same problem persist even after a clean restore/update to 3.0.1, that should clear off all the doubts, it's definitely a hardware issue.

I would like to hear more opinion from others as i've done some survey in google, quite a number of iphone users with OS 3.0 having this issue and some of them stated that they are sure it's about the OS 3.0 firmware issue.

But so far i cant find any proper solution yet. Anyone?

note the bolded statement. if in any way it's related to the firmware, it shouldn't have shown after 2 months. yes, battery life on 3.0 has been shorter compared to 2.2.1 but 3-5 hours for the battery to fully discharge to zero is not normal. that's the reason i'm suspecting that has something to do with the hardware eg. battery.

so the best method before jumping into the hardware issue conclusion is to do a clean restore/update to 3.0 or 3.0.1, jailbreak, without installing any Cydia apps and monitor the result.

EDIT:
while for the parts highlighted in red, sometimes it might due to the network. i used to face the similar issue, so serious that i've went to Maxis to get a sim replacement and yet the problem still occur (Maxis couldn't detect what's the problem as well). it has been so for nearly a week until everything went back to normal.
