i'm having it, its heavily guarded ( no one can take away) hehe jokes aside....

simply love it, if play lots of DVD, and also as a CD player, then you really can settle for a "all in one"
not to mention... i-resistably magnificent on BD's that is to say if you have >46/ins LCD
you also have more tweaks on PQ adjustment

certainly better if you can pair it with pioneer LX series of AVR for PQLS
i did thought of changing my AVR for the match..... glad i didnt, as my existing amp does an excellent job too rclxms.gif

A&L ..... just check with bro C.T. Seong, biggrin.gif

hi guys...being the good son that i am...i gave my BD60 to my dad *sob*

now my dad has quite an extensive DVD collection that are of the *ahem* variety that one can purchase from the side of the roads/hwaker centres/etc (you guys get the idea)

Was just wondering if anyone knows if long term playing of pirated DVDs is known to be harmful for the BD60 or any Bluray player...

It wont be 'harmful' per se as it is meant to play DVDs as well. I think a more approriate word is 'wasteful'! laugh.gif

Why dun you get him a proper DVD player instead at a fraction of the price since all he do is watch DVDs?

I concur. Either go for the made in tiong kok chap ayam or the king of playability (Phillips)

Denon's "affordable" blu-ray player DBP-1610 just announced - $499.00.

http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/4969.asp

No SACD and DVD-A though, so Oppo is still one-up on that note.

Note to users using PS3 as a BD player. Some reports of the new update bricking the BD drive or something like that.
