i tot i heard somewhere that bitstream & LPCM r same mah sad.gif

In theory.

In practice the quality of the decoding does have some effect. I also felt that BD player bitstream to AVR sounds better than PS3 output PCM.

Decoding a file is just like unzipping a file. When you unzip a file, whichever program you use to unzip it will give you the same original contents.

BUT what the program does to the file AFTER unzipping is what makes the difference. The percived differences is not due to the unzipping (decoding) process itself, but what happens after.

Questions for bd60 owners.Have any of u guys try changing the setting the remaster button on the remote (Remaster 1,2,3). I just tried it last night and remaster 3 got more bass in it. The manual said remaster 1 is for high tempo, 2 for various tempo and 3 for low tempo. Is it like a loudness level?I kinda like the remaster 3 though.Any thought guys.

Your Amp and speakers setup will affect how it sounds. If your ears says remaster3 is best then that's the best for you, don't listen to what others say biggrin.gif

I myself prefer to turn it off.

I read on MPC that Dune Prime 2.0 is scrapped and they replaced it with Dune prime 3.0

Not sure about the pricing tho...
