no favouiitsm on this, was advise to " that if you got a panny just pair with BD60

for me some how or rather, my anthology only ok....

when panasonic design (or R&D) their BD Player their reference is panny Plasma/LCD, so whatever colours,depth,shaprness,contrast, brightness they will tweak to perfection on their own proprietry LCD/Plasma .... am i correct to say so... i dont think the engineers care to think how it should look on an LG/Sony/Samsung Display

its the same for R&D dept for Sony, Samsung LG etc

so theoritically matching brands will perform better but there are exceptions too, correct for makes of OPPO,

maybe he should just buy sony speakers, use sony cables, sony AV amp, sony TV, sony BDP, only watch sony production Blu-ray movies.. like casino royale..

like i say there are always exeptions, ( this one not my fren say..one)

if panny is good for PLasma/LCD BD only use those.....
if Sony is good for LCD & BD only use those......
if pioneer is good for Plasma/BD/AV amp... only use those....

if a manufacturer like sony/pana doesnt produce good speakers, i believe any branded entry level speakers will kick their "butts" out rite???

Yes, I got BDP-3000 , very satisfied with it.especially for "ahem" dvd and bluray...of coz i buy ori br too buut depends on the title,

Philips BDP3008/98 selling SGD188.

I owned a Philips BDP3008/98 and haven't update the firmware since purchase on mid Nov.....coz' haven't got any problems playing my BDs except for 2 things that I posted earlier.

Have you tried G.I Joe disc 2 on another player?

Yup tried it on a dvd player it plays well...... n check with bluray.com the disc 2 is a DVD....

but I tried my Region 1 DVD no problem playing even DVDR that I burned movies that I downloaded no prob....

sifus... read afew pages back that someone manage to get Panasonic DMP-BD60K for RM599 from SEC.

i called afew of the branch earlier... and they quote me RM1,599. according to the few salesman i spoke to, RM599 is Purchase-With-Purchase price. so just wonder how did you guys get the BD-60 for RM599? which branch you went to? Did you also purchase the LCD tv? eeemmm...

Last month at SEC Penang they were selling Sony, Pana & Phillip for RM599 and you can just buy the player only. Sony and Pana were selling like hotcakes for Sony only display set left and Pana even the display set was sold you got to wait a couple of days.
