if she is pregnant,try to give a mealworm.and pls feed them with some quality food.
(if everyday u just eat the same type of food,sure u'll get bored ryte)
plus kuaci is just like a snack for them,it is good just for a treat,but for everyday food.
vitacraft is the best food for hamster.

i dunno how to tell if the female is pregnant or not,but she will make a nest at some corner @ myb in her house.
she will be more active and protective.

does anyone know whether a syrian can be housed in a 2ft plastic tank onot?
cz i'm thinkin 2 take over the hamsters n give then a tank each...
will they overheat? or can i punch holes at the sides of the tank?

in my oppinion, to know a female hamster is pregnant or not, you just hav to wait and see... even for planned 'mating'...the owner still hav to observe for any signs of pregnancy...easiest sign would be 'bulging tummy'? i supposed so... hmm..

better separate the hamsters...

and for the 2ft tank... i think most of the syrian owners here use that.. if not mayb some using DIY storage box, or zoozone series...
if u using the plastic 2ft guppy tank, i dun think u need to make holes at the tank itself... becoz the plastic cover has holes... and the hamster can get adequate air..

regarding overheat, don't put the tank at a place with direct sunlight exposure... make sure the ventilation in the room is good.. i think like that should be fine...

U can try FURRY PALS .. Its gud oso..HARRY HAMSTER okay a bit
but its contains too much KUACI & PALLET thats
hams will not touch eat, the end u throw it..

1. count from the day you see them mating.. 16 days <-- estrous cycle
2. she gets a bit fatter especially tummy area
3. makes nest in one corner. <-- throw shredded kleenex inside and see what she does
4. sometimes hammies get a bit garang when they pregnant. doesnt like to be held.
5. eat more

please seperate the daddy immediately. you dont want to stress the mummy~ end up she will have difficulties giving birth.

I think my hamster got wet tail. Not sure. But his butt has becoming yellowish and often got like pee i don't know. Sometimes when I hold him, I can feel that there's pee at his butt. And doesn't smells good. Really worried. I wanted to take him to the vet but it's so far away. I'm a student and has no transportation. I think the nearest vet is 45 minutes from here. What should I do? Please help.

I know how you feel, last time my GF sprain her ankle, if drive to Oriental (Tit-Da) takes about 45min-1hour, but no car, need to take public, so from MMU go Putrajaya, thn from there go Kelana Jaya, after that take taxi go Sea Park. Total time, 2hours ++ (almost 3hours)wit her dragging her leg. Since we are student, so thought want to save money on taxi.
But there are times when you really have to do it, if you're a student, know any pet club in school? Or any pet lovers? If still don't have, get a friend to drive you.
Go before its too late.

I think, for beginning u shud have 1 ball enough..
Coz the other 1 can play in cage wheel 1st, if u have to eye view 2 hams in a time,
then i think wud be bit headache rite?? Except, u oni let em round in ur room..
I u still willing to buy , i suggest u buy the smallest size ball. Coz its not SYRIAN,

Oh, hehe, I will let them roam in my room only, since now studying, living with uni mates. I now getting some stuff from IcedNyior, the execise ball is medium de, I think ok la the price, hehe.

Actually I d booked from Lala, he really friendly, I bug him for quite awhile d, getting some tips from him. Hehe. He really patient and friendly lo. And I getting his Package A, hehe, though not in perfect condition, but the price is a killer(in a good way)!
