Locked 720p games will always only display in 720p.
If 720p isn't ticked as an option, the game will automatically be displayed as 480i/576i.

IINM, your account don't change regardless of your age when you first sign up onto PSN.
Only way is to change it back to master-account.

Though I may be wrong on this one, never encountered this problem yet.

IINM, the PS3 can force the game to run at 1080p, but you will encounter numerous issues.

If you really want 1080p, go for 1080i instead la

Locked 720p games cannot be forced into 1080p.
It'll simply just turn into 480i/576i.

I still couldnt have my XMB run in 1080p... The flickering is still there.. Haven't changed the cable yet, hopefully it will be fixed once I replace the cable..

As with the 720p games, PS3 will auto-change to 720p mode lar rite.. Thanks guys! smile.gif I feel so much at home, though I just recently bought it.. (not really bought it, my wife gave it to me biggrin.gif)

Any recommended websites for super newb like me? I want to make full use of it smile.gif

IINM, there is no such thing as sub-account on PSN.

Maybe you accidentally put your birthday as 1992 instead of 1991 when signing up? Or maybe you put wrong month? Maybe you misplaced the month and day numbers?

Not really sure what is your problem though, if you signed up as an 18 year old... wink.gif

Nope, there is such thing as a sub-account since day 1.

Sub-accounts are registered by a master account, so parents can set a side a top-up budget per month for the sub-account, mainly used for the kids.

Hey guys, which set up is better for a LCD monitor which is shared by a PS3 and PC.

My LCD monitor does not have HDMI input, only DVI and VGA but I would like to use the DVI input for both my PC and PS3. With the PS3 using a HDMI to DVI cable.

The thing is, I need a kind of splitter for the connection which is able to select the source with a button.

Which would be better. Using a HDMI switch or DVI switch?

With the HDMI switch method, I will have to use 2 HDMI to DVI cables right?
For PC
PC-->DVI to HDMI cable-->HDMI switch-->HDMI to DVI cable-->LCD Monitor.
The PS3 would connect to the HDMI switch via HDMI cable.

I would much appreciate any feedbacks on this.

it wont affect the new user. unless you have tons of game data saved on the machine as well. if you plan to sell it just format the machine right before you sell it. then they can redo all the settings and it will be a fully clean machine.
