if that the case, then you dont need to worry a thing.

you can deactivate the ID by go under the Account Management in XMB. There's an option to Deactivate the System

yes...if you dont have any PSN game, just format the hard drive. no need to deactivate

If you can test it, try playing a game with it for a few minutes. Just to see if the lens works.

Also, open the HDD bay and remove the HDD 'tray' thing to see whether the HDD bay is OK (in case you ever decide to replace HDD).

I'm not sure if this is a big thing, but for those of you who registered under SG PSN acc. , Gamers Hideout Tropicana City worker told me that they are bringing in SG PSN cards. The worker also not very sure, but seeing as it is probably the first batch of cards they are bringing in, I guess it would be hard to mistake it.

Under Setting--->System Settings---->Restore Default Settings

if there is a user on the system then make sure to deactivate it before formatting otherwise you might be losing precious space on your ps3.. if there is psn games then make sure not to delete it heheh.
