Oneof my PS3 has this funny problem. When I play movies no sound, when I fast forward 1.5 times got sound. I'm using optical out & LCPM as setting. When I point the arrow left/right got sound.

QUOTE(bestdo @ Sep 14 2009, 08:35 AM) You're confusing your ownself.Female plug - Related to all jacks with a hole for your to input a male connector. Male plug - Opposite of the female, a connector which is used to connect to a female jack. If you think of it as "sex" for electronics, you'll understand it immediately. Y-splitter is basically a converter for 2 RCA audio to be connected and then converted as a 3.5mm connector. Used for connecting to speakers which has AUX input or soundcards/on-board motherboard sound as a Line-In connection. QUOTE(jasjay8708 @ Sep 14 2009, 06:32 PM) Nope. |

See you're just confusing yourself.
If you just understand what is male and what is female, you won't be confused. Its that simple. |

it is called RCA composite or in laymen term, composite cable or just red/white
some speakers have male 3.5mm jack, and some only have 3.5mm port and some even accepts RCA directly. it depends on your setup really. have a look at your speaker first and then think of the necessary converter/adapter. |
