Okay,i know i might get flamed for this question but after reading the first page and also googling it,im still not too sure about lag when playing online in relation to the games region.

From what i understand,region 1 is USA, R2 is Europe and R3 is Asia.
Region type doesn't matter when it comes to running a game in single player mode as it runs on all PS3's.

But what about the issue of playing online...?
Say I want to buy the new NBA2k10 and based on previous experience with the 2k9 version,which is R2,i encountered lag issues.Would buying the game of another region help?

I know lag and stuff is because of our ISP but will buying a game of a different region aid in the lag issues?
If so,which region is recommended? Asian?

don't worry, i was confused also. until i kena from one of the members, haha.

the only difference the region makes is the download content.

for example, if PSN Store USA has some downloadable content for NBA2K, you will only be able to get it
IF the NBA2K you bought is R1.


for playing online, no matter which region your game is, you will still be able to connect to the country of choice.

for example, if you have LBP R3, you can choose to play on US servers or Europe servers, or even Asian servers.

I think you mean the NBA2K10: Draft Combine.

It was a hypothetical situation. ( Even though i will be getting NBA2k10 )
I dont think the Draft combine is worth it though...
Either way,i cant get it. No PS store account or credit ,hahaha.

Hey guys anyone bought the Little Big Planet dynamic theme from PS store malaysia? I top up my wallet RM15, but when I see the credit card statement it shows SGD6.13 converted to RM15.23. I was wondering that is PSN store Malaysia shouldn't they charge RM?

I did try to call up their support centre, they there is tax included... wth... need your advice guys

yeah exactly... but I didn't notice of any tax in the pay screen for wallet top up... do u advice me to fight them for charging extra 20 something cents? I actually don't care of the 20 cents but feel thats not the way they charge Malaysian customers

Check your email..there will be an email sent to you as a receipt...email Sony Cust Service and threatened to go to press and tribunal for overcharging without notice or etc, also there are other concern like you are buying stuff in MY not SG so why charge in SG...and if charge in SG I think our bank also charge something extra IINM...

ask them why the hell they charge ur CC in SGD when you topup MY psn store with MYR.
if this what they are charging for using CC on MY psn wallet better for us to keep buying stuff from SG psn.

mostly first party games are region-free multiplayer
eg lbp, ms2

and most japanese-developed games are still in stone age
eg: mgo, we series

Called the sony asia support centre. I think its in HK chose 1 for canton 2 for english. So i chose 1 for canton and the operator is quite helpful. They say they suppose to charge in myr seem like a mistake. Lets see coz they will investigate and feedback to me.
