My bike is ready for testing after 1 week raya break (I balik kampung 1 week+). biggrin.gif

This round I install camshaft, valve spring, steel braided brake hose, ermm.. what else? I think that's all.

Camshaft is 250-IN, 250-OUT, 1mm higher lift type. Overlap is 100 degree. Should be a flat torque curve from mid-low to mid-high rpm characteristic, hohohoho.

Tomorrow will be in Bee Hock around 5pm. Anybody wanna join me?
*
wah charge.. cant wait to test the thai camshaft huh... biggrin.gif .. lol.. btw wats the brand of valve spring u change?

I am using Keihin PE28 carb, mainjet is #125, pilotjet is #38.
FC is good, full tank can go 140km - 160km, depends on riding style.
That block is about 160 excluding labour charge.

Saran, the camshaft is very good. Perhaps can try it on stock bike as well. The torque drop at 3000rpm and below is negligible, but starting from mid-low onwards, it rev all the way up to redline. There is no sudden rush in acceleration. Its a constant rush all the way, smooth up.

Tuning in progress now, perhaps need #130 mainjet and #42 pilotjet. I want to shift the powerband slightly to mid-high rpm. biggrin.gif

Ya, it's hard to look back when I am addicted, haha.

I've js finished 2nd round test. mid-low to mid-high is awesome, alot better than stock. The engine is smoother than before too. I think stock 135cc block also can use this cam. The low end should be doing quite well.

I think a 260 degree camshaft is a better choice for this 58.5mm block. 250 deg is slightly too mild. I am still not satisfied with the top end power.

Next up... change exhaust system to increase top end power... or change the cam again, hahaha.

* my speedo meter gear spoilt ady, dunno what's the new top speed for each gear. 3rd gear easily reach the redline and I feel scared to go full throttle at 4th gear. biggrin.gif

twist: from your description, sounds like some parts are loose somewhere - may be worn out, or need adjustment.

Forgot to mention, does the bike vibrate more with the noise?

Is your bike still under warranty? If not, can you find a mechanic that can tell u what's the problem? I wouldn't pay for an overhaul unless I know specifically what's the problem.

can't match AHM or Nob1 Titanium. no idea bout the performance though.

28mm is not a good match with standard block. If you have a big pipe, it is even worse.

30mm is too big for 57mm block. Even 28mm is too big for 58.5mm. 60.5mm should be js nice to pair wif 28mm.
