1st thing is.. u unlock the cores, but actually not.. see the cores count at cpuz main tab..or u can see it from task manager performance tab.

try locking 1 core..and see if it turn 3 or not
if not working.. up the vcore (but i dont think it helps )
if not working.. try updating bios..

have u messed around with ur msconfig?


btw, the speed is quite low... i donno got p state at 2100mhz...normally i see only 800mhz and 1600mhz..
if got, sorry for my noobness

actually i oredi turn into 4 core..the problem is still happen..nvr play with msconfig..
sory..wat u mean by the speed quite low??u mean ram???my ram is 1333mhz but can OC to 1600Mhz...

It appeared your core speed & multiplier not showing the accurate figures, if you're unlock the core successfully, it shd be showing 3.2mhz at core speed, and x16 at multiplier, according to your cpu_z, it might cause your pro unstable, don't think about the ram speed first, you might turn of the core unlock feature first and restart enter window play some games, if it shows normal and no sudden happening, that means your pro core is not stable to unlock, bless for it now.

Somehow I think your mobo gigabyte ga-770t-d3L's chipset is not good at unlock cores, it's only hv 4+1 phase VRM, not 8+2 one, may be you have to update newest bios & try again.... hmm.gif

try to prime95 blend test ur processor..see if stable or not.

ive noticed that..thats why i ask gelang to do the things i listed in my previous post..that issue is common...but no specific method to make it go on full core..

most of em success if update bios/change mobo..

its show 2 core bcoz once u unlock..the proc name will be changed..and even u lock it back..the name is still x4 even the core turn to 2 from 4 core..(after unlock)hehehe

mine when lock will become 555,unlock be B55 but when i OC to high,play2 with NB,HT it become engineering sample K10..LOL.. laugh.gif

rite now i'm running a few test to my system and got failed priming 1 unlock core at 19x multi ... can see my post at AMD overclocking thread ... just sharing .. tongue.gif

wah .. that's really subjective to say coz for me u only do the OC things after u know what the consequences for doing that .. sumore it's kindda new experience for me in hardware knowledge .. maybe sifu here can give some advice on this .. smile.gif

If i OC my proc 550BE how can i see the temperature because the temp will be 0 for the core, should i see the cpu temp, is it the same?

If u want to watch the temp .. u must return back with 2 core only .. from there start OC and watch the temp .. if the temp reading is ok, then u'll know what ur temp reading gonna be if u OC with 4 core ... the temp reading should be almost the same i think ... smile.gif
