ASUS M477TD PRO+AMD Phenom II 555=Success to unlock 3rd and 4th core..

yeah maybe u get a wrong batch to unlocking a 4th core but u have nothing to lose man..unlock 4th core also not very save if u using normal cpu cooling coz it will disable the core temp..just try luck in OCing..

do u try restart ur pc?..any new driver popup after success unlock to Quad?..

i see..what u set on the bios?..AC on Auto?..maybe u need to try set it to All cores..

Thats weird..on ur device manager,do ur pc detected u r running Quad?..

haha..i also dunno bro..btw,other apps to test cpu beside cpuz?everest?..when prime95,is it all ur 4 worker running..if yes,might be just a software corrupted..hehe..

I tried googling around with ur problem but no hope..do u try reset ur CMOS and try the ACC directly?..

After 3 over month use my B55,i just done a prime95 for 1 1/2 hour just on 1.256V on Vcore and Max Temp 56C ..

i see,what cooler did u use?..

yeah,juz unlock syok2 only la..i got mine 955 for serious play..hehe..

got,but only drop 8c at load..idle will be not much different..maybe bcoz i use a UltraKaze on my venomous X..

ur stock vcore is what u set at the Bios..if u get 3.2Ghz/Prime95 on 0.98 vCore..Wow!,U have alot of head room for OC to 3.8~4.0 Stable!..

Haha,i also just updated my Bios..Seem they give a Core Unlocker features to my M477tdPro..plus new splash screen said "4th core Activated!"..

i think u should lower ur bus speed..btw,what OC do u done?..

for speedfan u can refer to the Temp1..same as HWmonitor..

i got unlock tri-core option after updating bios..myb u should too?..

haha..HAF-X is good,Superb damn big+heavy..my mobo look very tiny..

well,that is victory..i see the number is not set at 3200Mhz like old BIOS ver..it will be jumping like dat..same like mine,u can click at my CPUID to the link..

HT is not at 2000Mhz by default,it 2009Mhz..

But it does exact when on older bios version of mine..btw,extra mhz should be good..

based on my experience also,740 is not a good chipset for unlocking cores..will do best on 770 or 785..
but u can update the bios,u r using MSI?..better refer to MSIHQ-USB flasher guide for BIOS updating coz most of BIOS Rom they provided will make ur UPDATE ROM MISmatch and if force to proceed,u can say hello to new MOBO already..
