Im ody success UNLOCK CORE to PHENOM II X4
BUT!! CANT ENTER WINDOW!!

Before entering WINDOW it Restart!!
WINDOW 7 and WINDOW XP.

Did I need UPDATE BIOS?
OK, let say i success UNLOCK CORE.
MSI 740GM P25 have OC switch.
If I TURN IT ON! What will happens??

Is POSSIBLE UNLOCK CORE + OC together?
Any effect?

There is a reason why the core is locked in the first place
If you already unlocked all 4 cores and it is unstable even at stock voltage, means he unlocked cores are bad
Try rebooting with 3 cores and see? If not possible, you have to drop down back to 2 cores (but remain the unlocked cache if there is )

this is ur MB problem!
i facing this problem with 740 p25.740 for unlock dual core stable only.quad core it keep restart and problem.
i change mb to 770 it all goin well now.change ur problem will do brother.770-G45 or C45

this is your mobo problem, last time i also test with 740gm but cannot too, after i try the 870a mobo is ok!
the 740gm mobo is bios problem...

but remember not all 550BE@555BE can unlock core wit stable even using very mantap mobo meh...

Please dont lose my spirit ..Rely wanna see MAGIC UNLOCK CORE with
'my current mobo MSI 740GM P25.
Want test 1 by 1 the bios update...

But if u aredy tried the other bios..Please tell me
what version bios u oredy tried??

flash bios have certain risk,
so becareful on this.

as long as the psu provide sufficient power,
there shouldn't be an issue.

vcore refer to cpu voltage.

based on my experience also,740 is not a good chipset for unlocking cores..will do best on 770 or 785..
but u can update the bios,u r using MSI?..better refer to MSIHQ-USB flasher guide for BIOS updating coz most of BIOS Rom they provided will make ur UPDATE ROM MISmatch and if force to proceed,u can say hello to new MOBO already..

hi bro i dunno how to increase v core....
can teach me how and how much should i increase?

have to go into bios to increase vcore.
maybe try increase 1-2 steps.

myb u misunderstanding me..
what i mean is this one,using THIS method for flashing MSI mobo..
those M-Flash is useless as for me,keep popup the ROM mismatch and lead to dead MOBO if u force to flash..

I unlocked my Amd athlon ii x3 440 to Amd phenom ii x4 b40 but unfortunately no L3 cache. How to unlock the 6mb of l3 cache? How to check the stable of unlocking?

I am using GA-770T-D3L motherboard

when u bought? if u bought around the time athlonII x3 launched, and u might able to do so..
if now, no luck.. all propus die that have no l3 cache to unlock.

if unlock only not stable d, u should focus to make it stable 1st..dont think about oc 1st..cuz oc will only make it more unstable..

and possible to unlock and overclock..

Can i try to unlock L3 cache? how? Use prime95 to check the system is stable,right?
