Need some advise here.

I want to upgrade my rig.  Planning to get Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H mobo because want to try my luck to unlock quad core.

Should i get Phenom II x2 550 or Phenom II x2 555?

Which proc has higher successful rate?
*
maybe you can get these cpu from forumer here, they tested and make sure it 100% unlockable and stable before selling it.

so you no need to try your luck. you sure get a unlockable cpu.. brows.gif

tested unlockable yes.
stable? don't be too sure that all 4cores are healthy.
most i think they won't prime.. hmm.gif
*
haha, but those forumer claim that it is stable also.. hmm.gif

that means amd disable some defect core and sell it at less core?

i think TMPIN0 is for processor, and TMPIN1 is for motherboard.

the temperature reading which is changing fast is refer to processor temperature.
if motherboard temperature reach 69c, that is very very high already.

but i m curious that what is TMPIN2 that can reach 128c. shocking.gif

the thing that confusing me is, if i compare TMPIN0 and TMPIN1 with pc wizard s/w and hwinfo. both tell me different thing

in pc wizard, it mentioned the processor value is same as TMPIN1, and motherboard pair with TMPIN0

but in hwinfo

is the other way.

Which one is wrong? or all is wrong because of the unlock stuff. all s/w unable to handle for unlocked processor?
*
hmm, but hwmonitor and pc wizard should show the same things, and i also using an unlocked cpu.
for my case,
TMPIN0 = processor temp
TMPIN1 = motherboard temp
TMPIN2 = power/aux temp

Hi all,

I have a 555BE with CACAC AC 1003EPMW and Motherboard is Asus M4A785TD-V-Evo, but failed to unlocked.

Meaning, managed to unlocked from Bios, but not able to boot into Windows 7. Everytime hang at Windows is loading files.

Any idea why? or isit this Proc cannot be unlocked?
*
windows got corrupt?
maybe it not stable after unlock.

The motherboard actually allows me to press 4 to go for unlock, and once unlock I can go into to Bios and it is showing B55.

Even at the boot up POST also showing B55.

Like this consider?
*
i see. maybe the cpu become not stable after unlock. maybe the locked core is unhealthy. hmm.gif

I am using Asus M4A785TD-V-Evo + 1003EPMW, it can be unlocked from Bios and even POST showing already B55, but too bad, always can't load into Windows 7, stuck after the Start Windows. not even logo.

I have tried increase the Vcore till 1.48v, still the same. Strange.
*
maybe you have no luck la. sad.gif
got touch the ACC value? auto, all core, per core?

Yes, probably needs to accept the fact even though the batch 1003 seems to be very high chances
*
haha, forget about core unlocking la, since it depends on luck.
if really wants a quad core, then better buy a true quad core. biggrin.gif

i think stability also depends on the cpu itself.
