i think if the L3 cache is available,
it will unlocked together when unlocked core.

just able to unlock 1 extra core.quite disappointed cannot unlock all 4 cores.

My brother using the same mobo and running with same result as yours ... 3 core only ... but mine ...

mine b4 just unstable after unlocking,after done bios update.
the process just flow nicely with all four cores unlock..

Mine just drop down to 3.8ghz for stability although 4.0 is through stress test.

aiya ... no tweaking yet la bro ... still learning how to oc this AMD proc since this is my first time using AMD proc ... .. last time only using P4 only .... ... just read some articles to understand more about the proc coz it's kindda confusing a bit rather than ocing a P4 with just increasing the FSB ...

Ram : 4gb corsair (useable 3.25gb coz use w7 32bits) ddr3

I read in giga website : they say i can unlock use Easy Tuner 6 (mobo software)..they say juz clik "core boost" to unlock, but in tat sofware juz have "easy boost" not "core boost"..and easy boost for OC not unlock...i try to seek how to unlock..i guess my spec have enuf to unlock...hehe..

P/s : I'm use bios F4..the latest bios from giga website...

Can sumbody help me out plis....

cant remember the exact location of the core boost cuz i seldom use that utility.. for me its useless..

if no luck.. then go to bios. ACC = enable , EC firmware = hybrid.. that should do the trick

Owh,i guess i forgot to change ec firmwaire to hybrid..haha..i juz dono wat exactly that firmware do...hehe..thx a lot..hope tis time it work.

Some tips for tweaking performance for dual core or quad core cpu at Window 7;
*Using MSCONFIG:
(1) Go to the “Start Menu“, type “MSCONFIG ” in the search box and press Enter. The Windows system configuration tool will start. It might ask you for Administrator password before continue.
(2) Click the “Boot” (2nd) tab
(3) Click “Advanced Options” button
(4) Select the number of processors you have and the amount of memory available. For example, if you’re using a Dual Core processor then you should select “2″ from processors drop down menu, if you have a Quad Core processor, you should select “4″ from the processor drop down menu, etc.
(5) Select your numbers of memory ram also '4gb' (4096) or '8gb' (8192) etc.
(6) Now Press “Ok“, then “Apply“, MSCONFIG might ask you to re-boot your computer.

finally i was success unlock..from :
phenom II x2 BE 555 3.2Ghz become phenom II x4 B55 3.2Ghz (not BE anymore)

my Window experience rating totally up from 6.3 to 7.3..(in processor part..really hepi)

thx to all helper here..but i juz wan ask 1 more thing..can i up my :
phenom II x4 B55 3.2Ghz become 4.0Ghz???

p/s:i see in some website,they say can..but i forgot wat site i juz view bfore..hehe..can sumone teach me how???

congrats for ur effort to unlock the extra cores bro ... u might wanna list down ur full spec first bro before u wanna OC so sifu's here can give u some advice regarding to ur hardware capability ... i'm also still learning to OC my chip and waiting for my HSF replacement before continuing my OC quest base on this guide .. ... hope it's help ..

cpu cooler Hyter tx3 1 fan only..
additonal 6 fans cooler master sickeflow 2000rpm install at my casing..
proc temp now is 22celcius
GC temp 48celcius...

p/s : guess tis all i can tell..hehe..btw i unlock and want OC bcoz wan play crysis2 at high performance...(sumtimes it sudden shutdown when i played and it closed the game shockly)..dont know y it happen....

tried stress test? now post ur cpuz screen shot and also hwmonitor screenshot..
just to make sure safe to stress or not

cpuz main tab and mobo tab

game sudden crash can be by instability..so stress test 1st before proceeding to oc.

and yes, that proc can be oced..but how high is depend on ur proc and setup...

i dont know much about hwmonitor..nvr use it bfore..hehe..plis help me out by highlight anythink see not good in cpuz or hwmonitor...
