issnt it supposed to be normal to take around that much and have it to be full?

Coz kan, every pic is already 3mbs++ give or take 3.5mb la * 750 = approx 2.7gb

Unless u take the pictures in a very hi-res, then u do the calculation 1 pic approx 4-5 meg? check ur settings.. i just got my cam and in 1 1/2 days time can snap till 500 and i know i can go 500 more no probs with a 4gb card.

-----

and im LOVIN the cam soo much. For a 1st time user i think that there is alot of settings that can be tweaked to fit the needs. Is it just me? or i find the manual mode more practical to use. The auto mode kinda messes up the feel that im trying to create. Like u know the fuzzy fuzzy feel..

Pic spam of the day.. Takn with a manual mode, the little thing was running too fast towards me and i misfocused.. i not itll end up to be a veryyy cute picture.. Its not perfect.. but im still working on it hahah

just my 2 cents.

manual mode is only useful for me when i hook up an external flash...else, i will stick with A,S,P mode...
never use auto mode because to me auto mode in dslr is pretty bad compared to p&s.

fuzzy fuzzy feel? are u referring to bokeh?

i am no expert but in order to create a good picture, it must be at least sharp...the pic u took werent sharp at all, and it felt like its from handphone smile.gif...its ok, u are still very new and we will learn together...sony SSS is a plus, watch out for that hand bar in ur viewfinder and snap it when the handshake is the least.... smile.gif..

apart from that, SSS wont freeze the kids movement, u either need HIGHER shutter speed or a flash... i have problem snapping my nephew with 1/1XX shutter too HEHE..so in the end, i just burst it and choose the sharp ones

Added on August 14, 2009, 11:52 ami remember someone mentioned that b+w is very easy to clean. it can be cleaned with tissue...does that apply to all b+w? or only the pro/mrc version?

They say that MRC is scratch-resistant. I can attest to my B+W 007 CLEAR MRC being very easy to clean in a rush even with a shirt. It seems that the UV and clear filters all have MRC.

@ spooky

Thanks for the input.. well i didnt know the term bokeh so i googled it.. i think not bokeh la.. more like the artistic feel for pictures

something like this

user posted image

This one at least its not running towards me. I prefer this type of feel for pictures.. It shows so much in it. But i feel that this shot could be better if its not so dull.. The colors of it is dull, but if photoshop better la.. haha but this one took srtaight out from cam.. I think it requires more colors..

whatdoyathink?

Edit: This is not bokeh right?

i dun get what u mean. bokeh is where the background is blurred and ur subject stands out. I think ur current pic shows bokeh too, abit

pics can be sharper and brighter. sony has a vivid mode, use that it gives great color...pump up sharpness and contrast and ur pic will stand out.

my exp with a200 is to slightly over expose ur pic by +0.3/+0.7 ev try it out

I rarely use vivid or increase sharpness on creative mode on human subjects or portraiture.

I was reading through older posts and i came by this statement

"i really dont dare going above ISO400 at even low light, usually for creative shots, I use F2.8, ISO400 & Shutter around 1/4 to 1/15 without Flash.

shooting at ISO1600/3200 can might as well throw away those images.. will make yourself look bad.. real bad..."
- Memorable Studios

Normal dark indoors i feel like i need to go for ISO800 with the shutter around 1/80 to make it look not so dark. Then last night when playing with my cam at home, i went to ISO1600 because 800 is too dark.

Just asking, (im still reading post by post) sorry if this questions has already been asked before, and bear in mind im still a noob in it, would you go for the iso at 800 at outdoor with a faster shutter speed? or would you sifus go for a lower iso with a slower shutter speed?

Its seriously up to you. Some people like to add some noise into the photo to add some "effects". Some people just wanna have a pixel perfect photo. Yes the quality of the photo is important. But sometimes the "moment" is more important. So you decide yourself. (:
