Paid for the item on the 18th on july for the item psp bronze. sent sms n calls to get the tracking numbers but didnt get reply.
the last reply was 'give me half an hour' after i threaten him that I'll go to the police to report. no package, no sms, no call pick ups. checked the internet at it leads to this Chan Wai Hoe the scammer. New victims please post your names here.

if memory serves me, the scammer did something similar earlier (i.e. to con new and unsuspecting prey elsewhere to repay his previous victims) but was caught out so i don't think mods would be that harsh considering this is somehow interrelated with the previous cases here.

are they having fun being chased by police and living in fear of who knows some of the scammed buyers paid sumone to go after their family and friends and do something to them?

I'm thinking Chan wai hoe is an old LYN and Mudah scammer but using new acc.

dont simply use other ppl name to mark on that scammer

actually, it's quite simple to trace this guy. just go to the bank n c the cctv records to have his face posted all the police station.
because, i call the bank regarding the incidance and they know what time he withdraw the money.
should close off his bank account and black list him on all the bank.

Just for all of you guy and gurls out there (information).

Once you put your money in somebody's account. That is on your own free will. The police cannot do anything about it. My parent was cheated too of such a occasion for a cheating case. (almost 10k)So please be careful out there.

You can get your money back only if a miracle was to happen with this conman having a changed of heart. But highly unlikely he will ever pay you guys/girls back. Just moved on and take this as a lesson

Buy only from trusted dealers (like us tongue.gif ) that you know, or people with offices, phones , faxes and other infrastructure available for you to contact. This is not a guarantee, but logically speaking, nobody would spent so much money to put ll these in and con you.

My personal advise, never deal via SMS. The 5 minutes of call time will not kill you on the phone bill. If the seller has something to hide, you can sometimes pick it up from the voice when you probe further about the part you want to buy.

e.g. where can cod to view? item will be check first etc. if seller has something to hide, sure ask you for pay half and etc. in short, lots of story


vice versa for the sellers, there are a lot of time wasters on the other end too.
That is why, we as a seller in Malaysia,
We prefer a phone call form prospective customers. Even if they are not buying and just asking at least we know there is a voice.

it seem I am one more people who got conned by this guy but this is around august and my phone really take the best time to be rosak...
i cant remember much details but the MO is the same as TS posted.. said he is in batu pahat for 3 weeks... but the only difference is the bank is CIMB under the name of Chia May Yee (the account details lost with my old phone) so maybe we should put another name to be cautious ( i remember he blurted public bank account but suddenly change to CIMB) luckily i decided to only deposit rm150 first...

I saw chin wai hoe photo from police station , a fatty and ugly face like ass . And he run away according to bkt aman but still searching him . His brother chin wai hung was log by police and he promise refund our money , but now still waiting police find this chin wai hoe.

We prefer a phone call form prospective customers. Even if they are not buying  and just asking at least we know there is a voice.

Very good advice and very true. Everyday got so many scam cases, not just in LYN or Mudah. Imagine so many other online forums or portals. You think police so free go track down scammers when a few people report lost of few hundred ringgit? Please think again.

Always remember this peribahasa, orang tamak selalu rugi. So dont tamak murah. Nothing comes free nor cheap. Where got such big and fat chicken jumping around the street for you to catch. Deal with that fact.[COLOR=red]

Can anybody come up with a figure on how much this guy con you guys already. You may have to go the Civil Court way to attack.

When you bank-in money to other people's account voluntarily, it is not a crime. However, banking money under false pretense or cheat is an offence under the Penal Code. Bear in mind though if you really want to push this, YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

But you may get some satisfaction. PM me if you guys really want to do so.

He wont regret 1 la , he still con ppl last week.

All victims , form out a group and bring up to newspaper and TV media for this guy .

After few month research , CHIN WAI HOE and CHAN WAI HOE is not same guy . So i'm not this CHAN victim , i only can give u all advise .

JOECHAN , hope u can help those victims and contact his parents to ask him surrender . Go into JAIL sit 5-10 years and learn what his mistake before done .

Dude, you realize something? By appearing here, and admitting that your brother did con all the people here, means that your brother did something wrong already. Whether he is in the process of refunding or not, people that he conned have every right to drag him to jail.

Answer a few questions then..

1. You said you must protect because he is your brother.

He said yes and said that he's on outstation in kuantan. He asked me the location to COD and if I have any relative that stay in Kuantan (sound confident) . But I said no, he suggest to me to courier. I'm not confirmed it yet, but he promised me to reserved until friday. After a long queries with SMS, I feel confident enough to buy from him. On that night I bank in the total amount of RM1500 CHIA MAY YEE (1412-0026116-524) CIMB account. After that he said that he will check the pyment tmorrow morning. So, it's ok. Then tomorrow I asked him about the status. he did'nt reply... after that he SMS me said that item posted.. Then i asked the tracking number. he sms me this no 3345421675.. I asked him which courier comp? he never replied anything since that.. n he never on that no. anymore.. very frustrated...

I thought i already warned all of forumers about this? Dont be such a cheapskate la where got such a possible thing that someone will sell an Iphone 3gs 32gb somemore still under maxis warranty for 6 months for rm1500-rm1600???

I asked him which courier comp? he never replied anything since that.. n he never on that no. anymore.. very frustrated...

3. Take your report to that CIMB branch and lodge a report there too.

after tomorrow.. if i did not receive the money than i will make police report...
he said that his phone is lost and that is why he can't contact me...
n he aid that he was not a cheater.. if not, he will not trying to contact me back...
he ask me whether i still want the phone or refund the money back..
i ask my money back after that i will delete my post... he said that my post will ruin his business..
i just realize this thread after i alrd made the transaction.. i just google the name 'CHIA MAY YEE'

I shall also proceed to lock this thread unless there's any particular reason or updates to be include. So far, it seems this is going no where to what is expected.
p/s: anyone really want to help; pls get in touch with Sean and plan out what you guys want to do. May all the victims be united also in this case as so far, I only see talk and talk and talk but hardly any action.
