why do people keep calling it icore 5 or icore 7?
*
sorry core i3/i5/i7 then

i think i5 520M and 540M are most probably run into new macbook pro
i think will see one i7 in 17 or in customize.

based on the price of processor, apple always use the same price range processor to replace the old one

maybe MBP will get a 'rebranded' core 2 as the core i3 tongue.gif

QUOTE
Intel may rebadge existing Wolfdale, Yorkfield, and Penryn Mobile chips into Core i3
As bizarre as it seems, it looks like existing Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors are bound for a new name tag, under Core i3. The processors will form Intel's value offerings, since they compare to the lower-end derivatives of the Nehalem architecture. At this point in time, we don't know if (and don't expect) higher-end Wolfdale and Yorkfield models to make it to this series, but rather the lower-end Core 2 Duo E7000, E8000, Core 2 Quad Q8000, Q9x00, etc. to do so, as they make the most market sense with Nehalem and Westmere derivatives higher up the order. The processors will continue to be driven by existing chipsets by Intel, which include members of Intel 3-series and 4-series.

im eager to see how the integrated GPU on core i5 compares to the nvidia 9400M.

Yea. So is it a good thing or a bad thing? I also bought an Apple Remote and Incase Hardshell for my Mac.
Speck Hardshell is like everywhere. So, I opt for the Incase one. Heard from many that the quality is much better than Speck. smile.gif

good thing, i suppose.

anyway an apple reseller salesperson told me that the new apple remote operates using bluetooth not IR, and is not compatible with MBP

tried it at home with a MBP (i think bluetooth was turned off) and it still works +_+

The alum remote still uses IR and would work with Macs and accessories with an IR port.

Makes me wonder, which reseller and where?

it works with IR. the bluetooth thing was a misinformation.

yeap i used my remote (it came free with my previous mac hehe!) for presentations before. it's much better than having a groupmate control my slides...so easy to mess up tongue.gif

the new MB white doesnt have an IR port so u cant use the remote. u stil can control slides using a bluetooth phone though, but doesnt look good n quite laggy sometimes (based on my SE phone)

too bad now with this miniDP port i juz make my presentations in powerpoint sad.gif. adapter to expensive and will only use like less than five times a year..not worth it

Are there any difference between the newest 13" macbook unibody and the newest 13" macbook pro in screen quality and display quality ? I see some review states that the 13" macbook has slight lower brightness compare to macbook pro , is it true ?

errr from my knowledge its the same screen. maybe because the MBP got black frame, making the screen look brighter? tongue.gif
