Maybe over credit limit. Or did you input wrong information? Like wrong card number, wrong card holder name, etc.

Email arrived shortly (usually) after that. However, the kit arrived I don't know, 4 or 5 days after the acknowledgement.

Just wondering, anyone else have registered for the upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7?
Have you received the confirmation email and get an order number? Did you face any problems when checking your order status online? Have you got the order number and shipment details?

I will put in some details of the upgrade for the benefit of everyone :-
Any OEM or standalone Windows Vista purchased after 26 JUNE 2009 will be entitled to register for an upgrade to Windows 7. All you need to do is register. When Windows 7 is released all that registered will be sent by post a Windows 7 upgrade kit containing a Windows 7 DVD. The upgrade is NOT FREE. You would have to pay using credit card a nominal shipping fee in USD depending on country. For shipment to Malaysia, the fee I paid was USD 18.76. If your purchase is:
Vista Home Premium - upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium
Vista Business - upgrade to Windows 7 Professional (many thanks to bro pap5)
Vista Ultimate - upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate

If you have purchased your laptop or PC with OEM Windows Vista pre-installed, please check your manufacturer's website to register. See below for a list of popular manufacturers & where to register:
Dell - https://win7.dell.com/
HP - http://welcome.hp.com/country/ap/en/mda/wi...rade/index.html
Acer - http://www.acer.com/windows7upgrade/
Gateway - http://www.gateway.com/windows7upgrade/index.php
Asus - http://event.asus.com/2009/windows7/
MSI - http://asia.msi.com/html/popup/win7/index.html
BenQ - only S42 eligible...

The upgrade is handled by Microsoft via Mentor Media Corp.
* IMPORTANT UPDATE 29 OCT 2009:
Bro Idragon has already received his copy of the Windows 7 upgrade DVD. He ordered the upgrade from Acer for his laptop. Appreciate the the picture...  drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif

What is my upgrade options if I bought mine in March 2009.

Do I need to get my own OEM package, or does the manufacturer sell them at lower prices?

You need to get your own and don't think that manufacturer will give you any discount. tongue.gif

Yep,... I checked mail and they just gave me the tracking number. Delivery Estimate: 8-10 days and said it may take 2-3 days before tracking ID is available for tracking in the carrier website... Hope I can get soon... rclxms.gif
