urm, bout installing the SIS file, izzit considered as hacking the phone? cz i duwanna void my warranty..
Installing that particular SIS file will modified a TXT file in your phone.
Just like some user modified their Windows System Registry for certain customization.
If you feel Nokia treat this as voiding warranty, then I would do a full reset (reformat) before sending in for any repair.
That will restore everything to factory default...

Can we do it in N97?
As what i found here. it says that newer phone doesn't allow us to do it
http://symbianism.blogspot.com/2009/04/sil...uired-with.htmlYes it works on my N97.
The reasons that site said "doesn't allow" are:
That file need to access protected system folder
(something like C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System32 in our Windows computer),
If you are installing any applications that require access to Symbian's system file/folder, you need to sign the application before you can install it.
If your phone have not been hacked, you are not allowed to install unsigned application that needs accessing system file/folder.
If you hacked your phone, you can install everything, no matter signed or unsigned.
If you don't want to hack your phone, yet, still install high capability application, just sign the application with high capability certificate before you install it.
You can apply/request a free certificate that have high capability, then use a free signing tool to sign the application before you install.

thx, but i dunwan my warranty to be void...

Are you sure this will void warranty?
It's just a TXT file customization, you can do factory reset before sending in for repair right?
