there's rumours of a N97 'mini or 'lite', as covered in Engadget.

Pics below, looks much better than the current N97, especially the back.

And the point of having Nokia N97 Mini at all? Price and size.

Nokia N97 will be about 100 EUR cheaper then it’s bigger brother. As for the size – not everyone is happy to carry around a brick of N97 size in their pocket. But might be tempted to get the device with similar features in a more traditionally sized format.

100EUR is around RM500. So that makes N97 mini below Rm2k tongue.gif

it is depends when it launch here then.....hehehehe
*
articles says 'announced' officially on Sept..
when launch and start appear in market is still no idea.

i wish the battery is the same capacity, then maybe the battery life would be better.

I think it's the screen protector
*
If screen detector, most probably those dots are air bubbles trapped inside.
have to reapply while making sure no bubbles trapped inside.

if u want to get the unlock code, u have to pay.
if u have money to buy a rm2.4k phone, but no money to pay garmin, then you have to get the unlock code by another way.
hope u understand whistling.gif

i'm really curious abt the n97 mini too.

But it's still vulnerable if the lens is exposed by a thing like car key, and etc.
*
At least u can still use a pouch to protect it.
with the big n97, u will scratch it with ur own lens cover when u use the camera.

*
If i was to guess, i'd say n97 tak laku.
if u put two of them side by side, i'd take the mini.

When you use gps on this phone, eg nokia maps or garmin, does it use the 3g connection to connect to the gps satelite?

If yes, then why the stand alone gps navigator does not use 3g connection?

this is taken from 5800 thread, 1st page.

13. What does GPS ( GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM AND A-GPS (ASSIST GPS) means?

Hi.. add me in the black team.

Questions :

1) Anyone having problem using Garmin mobile XT ? i've installed it successfully - its working, but most of the time
there is no reception of satellites ( or it influenced by the bad weather?)- has much diff. if compared to the same apps that I install in 5800XM-working perfectly all the times.

How to fix this? Is it necessary to change the Datum? current one is WGS 84

2) Is there any apps that function as File Manager - that normally has in previous Symbian. That can explore the files faster, easier , with cut n paste features , showing file size + ext. etc. ?

Thanks in advance!
*
so. ur garmin has been set to use the integrated gps?
datum wgs84 is correct.

for file manager, u can try y-browser.

How to set to integrated gps ?- can't find the menu to do so. ( mine gps information stated - Unit Id: xxxxxxxxxx , Assisted GPS

Ok...will look at it , is it freeware?
*
Assisted GPS means it's already using integrated GPS, with the added function of assisted gps.

i'm sure if u google y-browser, u can download one which is free brows.gif
