R U running 4.5ghz or just mid 3ghz???

Obviously CPU-NB does have an effect on performance but before you can start going up, first you must dictate at which frequency it will max out and and what voltage...This has to be done with stock CPU settings and Ram settings....

I run mine at 2800-ish and has a CPU/NB voltage of 1.35v 24/7 at 3.5ghz with vcore, also 1.35v...But the vcore is set on auto...Only the multi has been changed...

This is because I enable CnQ...

Are we on the same page here? is the 1.35v CPU/NB voltage or CPU Vcore? blink.gif

Sorry being noob.
What is the safe voltage for CPU-NB?
Isnt it 1.35v a bit too high?

Bulldozer still a long way to go, it will only be released by Q2 2011 i believe.. hmm.gif
Hope between there n then AMD would do some slight tweaking with the current cores maybe reduced the cache latency or sumthing.. sweat.gif

So IINM these are the only nice thing from AMD from short time frame :
AMD Magny Cours
C3 Revision
HD5k Series
Thuban

Others maybe like reducing current Phenom II TDP.And bump clock speed,Leo Platform..etc

QUOTE
CPU northbridge (memory controller) overclocks should hit 2.6GHz and a varying 1.35-1.5V CPU-NB voltage and 2.6 to 2.8GHz were not uncommon, with particularly good CPUs said to hit 2.9GHz. Considering the fact the original Phenoms could barely squeeze anything over 2.2GHz, this extra memory MHz should provide some keen performance increments for memory intensive applications.

SOS

from the article i assume 1.35v is still ok.. correct me if im wrong
