arghh no luck on unlocking 4th core... it just wont boot after i set acc:auto n ec:special in latest msi bios setting

Yes abang -pWs- Am2/Am2+/Am3 is the same bracket..
I have used an AM2 CM Hyper TX2 on all socket b4 tongue.gif

Have u tried setting the HTLink speed to 1.6ghz??

@cloudwan - yup ive tried it.. but it wont post, the screen just go blank n i hafta reset cmos to make it work again

That's the shortfall of using that mobo i think, it's the only reason i moved back to my older Biostar 128M..
I really like my old DKA790GX platinum but try as i might i never could unlock my cpu using its bios.. Demm M for not supporting unlocking wholeheartedly vmad.gif

Maybe using wrong version of Bios ....

im using Biostar TA790

@cloudwan - ive seen several ppl manage to unlock it on dka790gx platinum lately by using the beta bios and v1.8 bios

yup, they just provide d upper part & d 4 screws only while they're totally not workable on stock backplate from d board. that's why i said screw tr for ignorin amd... whistling.gif

Nope, it helps in Phenom but almost has no effect on Phenom II.

I saw this discussion in the previous thread.

My Phenom II X3 710 cannot change multiplier to higher than x13?? Only can OC by changing the bus speed??

Only black edition can change multiplier.
